Point made. I know first hand that top tier athletes do some crazy shit with their training and diet; e.g., experimenting with substances - not yet banned by the IOC - to improve performance. They are aware of cocktails bordering on science fiction. These athletes know they are making a trade off for peak performance now versus long-term side effects later. Sadly, this guy had to make a payment to the piper earlier than expected.
You're suggesting Kopacz got COVID because he was experimenting with "substances?" Meaning if he was just a regular, healthy 31 year-old he wouldn't have become so sick? Yeah, there's an understanding of COVID if I've ever seen one!

We don’t know whole story. There are way more questions than answers. Not very wise to hang your hat on Kopacz’ case.

You're right, there's no other reports of young and middle-aged people getting very sick with COVID. Keep telling yourself that. I have several friends who are ER nurses who I'm regularly in contact with. You'd be amazed at the stories of the people going to the hospital, especially with the variants.

First shot with Pfizer March 25; 2nd shot scheduled for July 15. Possibly earlier if vaccine supply ramps up quickly. No side effects aside from a little bit of tenderness in my arm the next day. I know many people who've been vaccinated. No significant side effects I've heard of from anyone other than the temporary and brief arm tenderness. Would have gladly gone for AZ, but Pfizer and Moderna are what Durham Region's clinics are vaccinating with and I was in an approved priority group due to my job so got into one of the Regional clinics rather than a pharmacy.
I also got the Pisser vaccine, & would have been happy with Madonna, too. Not so much with Cloty, but acceptable. This was on Winsday.

Have been having a bit of soreness in the jabbed arm, as with a flu & 2 shingles shots i received last year.

Also pain in my gut for several hours, which may have been from more coffee than usual in the morning or other issues which i've had before affecting the same area. After some tums type of pills & T3's plus rest i woke up feeling well, aside from the usual jabbed arm pain. Was able to sleep on that arm comfortably, as the pain was almost nil.
