Stop being a stick in the mud. They close York st now for pretty much EVERY ACC event. Close King St for TIFF. Close streets for all weekend festivals all over the city. Locals know and deal. It's a part of living in the city. You just don't like this one. Too bad.

But, Uber, Metrolinx, TTC helping more..... if it were the same thing as your aforementioned 90s era then the TTC wouldn't doing a bit more than usual and you wouldn't have mentioned Uber and Metrolinx.
Your comparison of the 90s to today was wrong and you won't admit it. Says enough, move along. You can stop reading if you don't like what I have to say.

I just don't understand the infatuation,the hoopla over this singer,its like she is a Goddess. to some She had a Police escorted motorcade that made you think someone of great importance was coming. Not to mention the road closures and extra Police which were likely Paid Dutys.

I like this music video from Taylor Swift:


It's my personal favorite this year, and I've recommended it to my co-workers around. I must have re-watched this music video like 50 times over the course of the year. When I rode the UP Express to work, I saw allot of Swifties, and the eye-candy was popping. Cold day and you saw lots of legs and sexy boots/outfits. Definately a visual treat.

While I generally am not a Swifty myself or listen to much of her music, there is always some music videos of hers that stand out. (ie Wildest Dreams, Lovers).

But as a Christian I can't accept most of her music as some of it, as other Christian channels have noted, sound like Taylor Swift is a witch. So, while I might love some her music videos, I'd imagine there are other music videos she has released that would be anathama to me to even give it a watch. Perhaps her songs are hit and miss with me, but if it hits, then it hits hard and it's like my personal favorite.

For example, Anti-Hero just pushes the boundaries of artistic/creative expression but with taste. Katy Perry is also great with that, but her latest music video "It's a Woman's World" was panned too badly.
That being said, I wouldn't be interested in a Taylor Swift concert because it's just one or a few songs I might really like.

Um, it's not that my comparison is wrong, it's that YOUR OPINION I'd that it's wrong. It's not a fact.

I hope by what I see being down that way quite regularly. It hasn't really changed. Expanded south? Sure. But it's still X amount of people filing in, X amount in the restaurants in that area, and X amount on the streets moving to and from. Capacity has not changed.

That's my proof.

Toronto was not design properly. 2 highways ( a parking lot ) and literally 2 subway systems ( from my point of view, I have seen other cities). Extending a subway line and giving it a different name and coaches doesn't make a different line. Okay will add the GO train. I found the new GO Union bus terminal to weird to get out once dropped off.

The width and length of the roads hasn't changed, well it has shrunk because of bike lanes. And less public parking in TO because of new Condos with no parking. And some
Condo's have stopped construction.

So I see why they gave TS a police escort. I would love to know who made that decision and why. The amount of people and vehicles has changed, there are more of both. And driving skills of people has not improved. Cells phones don't help either.

I would take the Go train to see TS if I had free tickets, more for the eye candy.

I’m a Taylor swift fan, I enjoy her music but would never pay the amount that the tickets are currently going for even if I have the means to afford it. I know some friends who are literally going in debt just to see her live which I think is ridiculous :eek:

most people are now used to one hit wonder talent. They cannot recognize someone who is having success with all her albums. Even when they were country (the one i find the most interesting) to now the more pop oriented one.

Also many don't like her because of her feminist stance. She went against her father, who is as many southern US citizens a hardcore Trumper (a racist to say the least) to take positions for the right of women. And that alone is a big no go for many. Sadly.

me i simply like her voice and i wish my kid had her talent 😷
