Silly liberals.

Bush isn't a racist. If anything, he suffers from classism.

There's quite the difference.

He's also a marketing genius.
I believe that the people who work for him are the genius as they have to clean up the mess each time he opens his mouth. This is just another example.

If he is blaming Racism then just remember last year when he lost some award for best new artist to this female performer, he blamed Racism again. When you keep blaming "something" for you not doing good in life than you might as well blame yourself.

Now a Hurricane vs. an Award are more than apples and oranges, but it is a string of events that occur in Kayne West career. It has been stated on many occasion that he has a definate EGO problem and seeks the spotlight, this is no different.

The Flow 93.5 problem that you guys heard is different than the one that actually happened but the truth is still there, they just don't want you to hear the other parts of the story that reflect badly on Kayne.

Compare with JayZ and P.Diddy who put up $1 million each, he is just getting on the bandwagon and Kayne emulizes those two people and what they have achieved.

I will leave that alone for now.

The N.O. situation is best suited for the political arena and how a major Democratic area was services by a Republican branch of the government and the use of troops abroad in the ever increasing mascarade war on terrorism and the quest to control natural resources as well as minds.

Why is everyone getting so bent out of shape about what Kanye said?

Kanye is really only one domino in a whole chain of reactions. His statement was justified although he may not have delivered it in the most timely of matters, nor the most compassionate. His statement was made to bring an awareness to a larger matter at hand, and that was accomplished!

Kanye does not stand alone!! He justs speaks for many who don't have his spotlight. However, IMHO, his part is now done, and others will follow it up to get the answers and results we deserve.

To every interrogation there is a good cop and a bad cop. One does not accomplish the answers on his own without the other. It is the joint effort of both these roles which usually brings forth the results desired.

Don't hate on him because he speaks his mind and is very emotional. The man's family has lived and survived and succeeded being Black in America. Have any of you?????

My point being, don't denounce someone else's experience in life because you just don't get it or you are tired of hearing about it. Don't you think, us Black people are too?

Was Kayne correct in what he was saying? For the most part, yes.

BUT IT WASN'T ABOUT THAT. There would be a time and place - later - for political discourse.

In the end, what he did was selfish and self-indulgent. It reflected the actions of a man who was thinking of what he wanted to do, but not thinking of what the consequences would be.

And in the end, given that rather than being heard he was instead dismissed because the inappropriateness of his remarks canceled any relevance they might have to anyone who needed to hear them (I certainly didn't need to hear them...he wasn't telling ME anything I didn't know), what he did was of no value at all.

Stupid. Really, really stupid.
I can't agree. I admire the man -- and I can relate to the passion with which he spoke.

What you're suggesting is that things should be done as they've always been done -- where has that gotten us?

I think he spoke with passion -- something so sorely lacking in those who have sought to influence us over the past couple decades.

His words perhaps weren't "politically correct" -- but that, in itself, was telling.

Some folks will always prefer to cheer on the naked Emperor.

Yeah, I personally think Kanye can be a bit of a jerk in music-related interviews I've seen, but the point is, he was a Black man with an opportunity to reach a huge cross-section of America in a time of horrendous tragedy.

He said something a lot of Americans don't want to hear; America is still miserably fucked up over race. He called the bitch naked and he was dead on, like him or not.

link at the top enjoy.
love how Kanye rants like an idiot...a lot like he did at FLOW 93.5 a black run station. Chris Rock's face was priceless, he had no idea how to react to that.
For Kanye to say "to shoot us" is drawing a definite line between black & white people and NOT helping anyone. What a tool.

ps - analyze* has no "s".
Main Entry: analyse, analyser
British variant of ANALYZE, ANALYZER

Main Entry: an·a·lyze
Variant: or British an·a·lyse /'an-&l-"Iz/

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=analyse

Last time I checked they(the British) invented the language we call ENGLISH.

Next you will be telling us all its 'color' and not 'colour' and its 'center' and not 'centre'.

well, that's fine and dandy, however, i did grow up with centre, colour and analyze as did most of the rest of north america. (minus the centre and colour in the US).
google analyse and analyze, see which is more common.

btw you never did comment still on how you claimed to have never called me a racist, yet called you on it, that you implied i was...wonder why

1) make up your mind. Did I call you one or did I imply you were one??

2) I said what you said is what most racists say. Quite different from calling you a racist. I wasn't even ADDRESSING YOU PERSONALLY when I made that statement. I thought that was obvious. So obvious that I thought even YOU would pick up on it. I guess not. So if I say the way some of these silly rappers talk about "I kill a n**ga" makes them sound like a racist am I in fact calling them one???????? *double cough* Comprehension is apparently not your forte.

3) The correct spelling is ANALYSE no matter how much spin you want to put on it. The actual ENGLISH spelling is analyse. AM I CORRECT????????????????????

GOOGLE???????????????????????? So google takes precedence over the OXFORD dictionary?? Thanks for letting me know buddy!

PS: Most of North America???? I thought in the USA the words are color and center.

again, it was implicit in your statement.
au contraire...my comprehension is just fine...
a lot of ?'s mark, getting a bit worked up? calm down franky. frustration setting in?

Spin? no spin here.
Better start correcting everyone in their ways of proper old english laddy.
Should keep you busy for awhile lol
again the multitude of ?'s marks...calm down will you =)

no the point was, the majority of North Americans (myself included) know it to be with the letter Z, regardless of old english (western germanic origins) ;-)...it was the commonality of it...i thought even YOU would pick up on something so blatantly obvious...evidently not? ;-)

PS: Most of North America???? I thought in the USA the words are color and center.
they are, hence i said MINUS the US in regards to colour and centre (when speaking in Canadian terms of course)...comprehension, your forte sparky?
the ?'s must really stop, you'll give yourself a cardiac arrest ;-)

It is easy to get frustrated with people like you.

I am correcting you and you alone because you sought to get one up on me by correcting me(if you can call it that) on how to spell the word ANALYSE in case you forgot! Not only do you suffer from a paucity of comprehension but you are also suffering from memory loss?

again the multitude of ?'s marks...calm down will you =)
I am very calm. I am in fact astounded by your silliness.

What does this have to do with anything. Old English or not, ANALYSE is the correct spelling regardless of what Bush types think...if you know what I mean. LOL. I went to university in both the West Indies and the UK and I am only 29 now. The word is still analyse in this new era! English is English. You are better off calling your words AMERICAN.

they are, hence i said MINUS the US in regards to colour and centre (when speaking in Canadian terms of course)...comprehension, your forte sparky? the ?'s must really stop, you'll give yourself a cardiac arrest ;-)
Hmmmmmm, let's see. The USA has about 300million people and Canada has how many again? With this in mind, what would the word MOST represent? LOL. I would hazard a guess that by eliminating the Americans you are practically eliminating MOST of North America! Do you agree Cobbler?

Look dudette, you are the one who made all this trivial by attacking my spelling of analyse and now that it has come back to bite you on the arse you are beginning to implode. Listen, you can go ahead and spell certain words the way you want. I could care less! Stop trying to discredit the correct spelling of the word and go wipe that egg off your face.

Yes.

You are very right with everything you say, INCLUDING that his rant was ill timed.

That is my problem with it. I feel sincerly and strongly that he was motivated by his own selfish desire to be heard (even though his heart was in the right place), when what he SHOULD have been doing was thinking "How can I best help those people"? And if he thought the best way he could help them was to point out to the very whilte people he was supposed to be asking for money (because I suspect that all the Black people who had some to send would be doing so regardless) that their president "doesn't care about Black people", well then he isn't as intelligent as I was lead to believe.

Yes I know the brother was angry. I'm older than him, so that makes me MORE angry. I know EXACTLY where he was coming from.

That doesn't change the fact that he should have kept his mouth shut, got as much money from people as he could, and then...perhaps even this week now that most of the evacuation is complete, gave his commentary.

All IMHO...
I definitely understand your point. However the issue is not what Kanye says but rather how North America makes you feel about his interjection. That is no longer Kanye's issue, you have now adopted it!

Oh please, do you really think what Kanye said really made a dent in the donations pouring in from around the world? Hell no!!! The people who were going to donate, still donated and the ones who were not, did not!!

I'm not trying to insult you, but try reading articles coming out from around the world. Journalists, from other countries, are saying the exact same thing.

I am so tired of having to watch what I say and how I say it, as to not upset people who really care less about me anyways. Aren't you?

You've fallen prey to the "every black man is the same man" syndrome. Don't let them make you feel like you can't act the way you want because it reflects on every other black person. Although we are all black we all can think for ourselves, speak for ourselves, and be individuals. We will all react differently, have different views, and live differently. That does not make us any less "black" or not "down with the cause."

This brings me to another point regarding Condeleeza Rice. Why do we as black people have to hate on her just because she is part of the Bush Administration? Is she not Black in America? Has her family not suffered and endured just as much as any other black family? This is a smart lady. I may not like her affiliation, however, she has put herself in American Black history. And when your grandchildren will read history books, they will see a black person in politics . . . . . . create the visual and the goal is easier to attain.
Don't knock her for living for other generations.

What else can I rant about? Oh yes, Franky66 . . .

Ok, you've made your point, your a smart black man who fits right in with the good ol' boys, with is white Sweedish wife. And this makes you the racism specialist, right?

LOL . . . this is not what I think of you, but do you see how someone could misread someone online?

I think you are coming down really hard on CuteCob, for being honest. I guess you are wondering why I am defending him. His thoughts remind me that of my fathers. A man who is as white as snow, in color and mentality and rhythm, but has been married and has supported his black family for over 34 years unconditionally.

Its not what you say that makes you a racist, its your actions!!!

Let me take a page out of Cob's book and do a little correction since it seems its not a typo for you because you keep making the same mistake over and over again. It isnt Sweedish. It is Swedish. Let me also point out something to you. Anyone who thinks I fit in with the good ol' boys because I had a white wife would obviously be an idiot. To fit in I sure would have to come equipped with something besides a white wife. What is a racism specialist btw? I dont see the connection between having a white wife and being a racism specialist. Care to expound?

LOL . . . this is not what I think of you, but do you see how someone could misread someone online?
Anyone can be misread online. That is a part of human nature. What is your point?

Context my friend. Cob and your father may not be coming from the same angles so I dont necessarily see how your father fits in. Last time I checked Cob was simply talking a biracial girl. I dont think he has got as far as the kids and marriage.

And please tell me what CuteCob was honest about. Maybe its late and you need some rest but my issue was having to apologise for every black man's actions. Now you are telling me I am coming down hard on CuteCob for that when you posted something to the same effect in response to MPANewbie? lol. This is rich!

In any event I am scolding Cob because he came at me with some silly spelling nonsense because he couldnt confront me on the racism issue. He reacted like a man with egg on his face. His fault, not mine. You see, even when facts stare him in the face he will try to discredit them. Just read the thread.

huh? OK, tell that to a man who has just been told "I hate you n*ggers" or "you east indians are nasty f*ckers" or ...well...you get the point. Thats like saying a man isnt gay unless he has actual intercourse with another. If he only has oral sex with another man he isnt gay. So are you saying that a KKK preacher isnt racist, just the KKK members that actually hang black men from a tree?

What I'm saying is, I'll be the first to admit that I've said some negatively racially motivated things. But it does not mean I act on them, nor would I teach it to my children. . . . . damn I'm rambling again!!

I dont give spelling and grammar lessons. That is your friend Cob's job. I only picked up the slack for him in the case of 'Sweedish'. I could careless about spelling to be honest so I was laughing when some guy is going to use spelling to attack me just because he cant confront me on the real issues. Lo and behold I exposed his ignorance. It is indeed spelled analyse in the english language.

I also knew what angle you were coming from hence I said "Anyone who think.....'. I didnt say "If you think that.............."

Again, I could careless about spelling/grammar so long as you get your point across. If you notice I dont use apostrophes because I cant be bothered. I type what I have to type and thats that
