I'm pretty sure these are AI generated. It is illegal to boobytrap anything, and while they were "allegedly" stealing something, the homeowner could be in trouble. I mean, what if some kid came and just moved the package to ring the door bell or something like that....- YouTube

Now, what I do enjoy is the dude who made really high-tech fake packages. When opened, they release a several spurts of fart spray AND shoot a lot of glitter across a wide area (and you ain't ever getting glitter cleaned....or it takes years).
The dude even revises his design to be more effective, and includes a phone that sends pics and videos of the thief when they open it. Here's is the fourth interation.
