Kazaa ???

1) Check first in your tray incons, to the the left of the clock on the task bar, to see if Kazaa is running. Close it, if it is.Weekly said:
2) Do Ctrl+Alt+Del, to open the Task Manager. Look at any running applications that are, or are associated with, Kazaa, and end them manually.
3) Click on the Processes tab in task manager, and do the same thing. You can't delete a program in Control Panel ->add/remove programs if it's running.
4)Look for an app called Pest Patrol. It will let you know in about 2 seconds all of the spyware you have on your computer, including cookies and registration keys. If you have the free shareware version, it will find them, but you'll have to delete them manually. A purchased or cracked version will do both.
Thanks Bob! the Kazza icon was in the tray on my task bar next to the clock in the lower right corner of my computer. I guess it was automatically running when the computer was on. Once I closed it like you said I was able to remove the program in my control panel.bobistheowl said:
I've tried WinMX, Kazaa and Limewire and BitComet. For music and porn (especially harder to find music) nothing beats torrents, i.e. BitComet.
With the others I found the selection sucks and it's a pain in the ass to get anything. With a torrent you just start it and walk away, and no matter what happens it will complete sooner or later.

Not to open the ethical question of "should we or shouldn't we download..." but I find it extremely funny that in the olden days, when you wanted to listen to music, you hired a musician to play. Then along came technology that allowed musicians to make money whenever we listened to their product. Now technology has turned the tables and made it easy for us once again to listen to their music any time for free. Kind of makes you go Hmm eh?
Anyhow, having people put screwed up files online is nothing new. I remember madonna put a bunch of files out that were named after her songs and then about 10 seconds in, her voice comes on and said something like: thanks for stealing from me, mother*****er, nice try or something to that effect. Unfortunately at the time, people were TRYING to find those files lol.

Yeah I remember that one, and it backfired on her, hackers came and hacked her fan website, when you licked on it her voice from the bogus songs came up and said the obscenities to her fans..... LOL. Why do you think she stopped lending her voice for for that?tboy said:
