I noticed they're playing The Tragically Hip more and more. That's a good thing IMO.Tungsten said:I agree, Q107 plays the same music over and over. Q107 even has to abide to the Canadian content rules, but they play the same Canadian songs over and over. Rush has a billion hits, but Q107 only plays a few of them, if I hear Spirit of the Radio, or Tom Saywer one more time I'm going to lose it. Why can't Q107 play something like The Temples of Syrinx for once? It's a hit and it's Canadian! mix it up a bit Q.

The best thing I like about Kim was his ex, man was she a stunner. Gorgeous, blonde and everyone stopped in their tracks when she walked, that was in the early 80's when I knew her, she worked in my office, prior to marrying Kim. Don't know what she looks like now, but she easily was Playboy material in her early 20's. I followed Kim because of her.gramps said:I'm sure he did alright with his record sales but for him to have to work, man his ex must have screwed him royally.
Even If you're somewhat famous and have money, it increases your chances getting a hot chick. Others like myself don't need money to influence the ladies.Mia.Colpa said:The best thing I like about Kim was his ex, man was she a stunner. I followed Kim because of her., Kim was ugly to me, with his long, few strands of hair sticking out of his baseball cap. lol
Kim is a phenomenal guitarist and songwriter. Highly underrated. His work in Max Webster along with the lyrics of Pye Dubois was sheer genius. And no, I am not Kim.mmouse said:I like Kim Mitchell. LMAO.blackdog said:Kim Mitchell has always been a great songwriter with and without P dubois. Dubois was a psych assistant at the Clarke Institute.
The Tragically Hip dont write songs they just have bad jams, shitty vocals and no melodys. The T.H. are just a consertive ploy to recruit young college kids to be right wing wack jobs. They where created and managed by Allan Gregg owner of Decima reasearch, The Song Corp. and Management Trust. Financed by the consertive party of Canada. Sad but true.
I read that they pulled it at random from a phone book.boffo said:Always wondered where he got the name "Max Webster" from.
Dude you can't get all angry just because someone has different musical tastes to you. But speaking for myself, I have 500+ albums and dig everything from Ravel to Suicidal Tendencies, but the Hip is about as interesting to me as a car alarm.lookingforitallthetime said:LMAO.
Reading this, I know who the wack job is.

First of all, I'm not angry.mmouse said:Dude you can't get all angry just because someone has different musical tastes to you. But speaking for myself, I have 500+ albums and dig everything from Ravel to Suicidal Tendencies, but the Hip is about as interesting to me as a car alarm.
Alright blackdog.blackdog said:Lookinforitallthetime, what i said about the hip is true. Decema used the hip to get access to a younger demographic. Allan Gregg needed a way to gain access to canadian college kids, a demographic that the PCs couldn't get a stronghold of. It worked and the young conservitaves are now growing in numbers. In return the band got tour support, video support, lots of descretionary money and a very savy management team. Musicaly I find them completly bland. But it is fascinating how the Conservitave party used a rock band to broaden their support base. This is not a conspirocy theory, its true. Gregg is now in Washington working for Bush. The band fired Greggs underling Jake Gold who is now a Canadian Idol judge.
