P.S. Oagre, just out of curiosity, do you recall who the members were that Alien considered the Wolverines?

It was about 10 or more years ago and a regular group of posters called him out on his bullshit and he also perceived it as a personal attack, he was another who was unable to see how high his bullshit was piled.
hehe... ask Goober.

(<>..<>) was highly entertaining though.

It's pretty pathetic really. Being banned from an escort review board for life then having to rejoin under a new handle. Like they have no real life and need the bickering/ trolling to make themselves feel alive. Pathetic

pathetic is an understatement.

Why not make a game of it, ban his current handle and see who is the first to recognize his new one.
Make it a drinking game and I'm in

Some resurrected members are easy to figure out based on the post "style".

Some not so much...

Why are known permanently banned members allowed to return under a different handle. What is the point of banning them? I realize terb has thousands of members and anyone can just sign back up because it's impossible to track all members. I'm talking about when it's clear who the old member is under a new handle, or is it more of a question, why do I care?

I'm talking about the old annoying rocky and the still annoying skyrider.
I like this board. It seems a lot more structured than other places I've been.

A few things:

1. TERB is not a democracy, no hosted board is. The admin and the mods are the final say.
2. If you think a handle is a new incarnation of a previous banned member, flag the post(s). The mods and admin can check IP addresses for matches and routinely ban new handles, especially for well known trolls.
3. If you want to know why something was deleted, you are far better off asking in a PM, or using the report post feature. Most mods don`t respond well to whining and moaning in public.
4. The mods at TERB are among the better ones out there. On the Calgary based board for example, the mods break the rules themselves (insulting members in particular), are known to be biased to certain paid advertisers they have friendships/relationships with and love to delete negative reviews and ban those who insist on posting about bad experiences with their favorites. Then there's the 411 board, where mods out posters, and they have made some of the worst trolls mods themselves.

All told, we got it pretty good here.

It's 100% confirmed, I was just posing the question if permanently banned members are allowed back under a different handle.

Is that banned member still around?

As westcoaster said, use the report button, give your reason, mods will check it out. If they are still around after a day or two, it means everything checked out and it's in the clear.

There are many reasons and motives why someone has more than one acct. People have certain personas and identity they are comfortable in sharing.
Take CaptainSteve for example. He is obviously a multi-account member but he is doing it with good reasons. Keeping his identity as reviewer and as organizer separate.
But then there are also those who does it with lesser intent and it is up to us to report them if we see them.

There are loopholes in a lot of things and until those holes are patched, consider it as being allowed.
Allowed to re-register and if they violate any forum rules again then they'll be dealt with when seen or reported.

There's nothing in the guidelines that says known banned members are not allowed to return, just says multiple handles not allowed. Technically the old handle is banned so it's not a multiple handle.............yes he is around

Yes Melina, terb is one of the better boards out there, where you can post your opinions in a civil way. Terb Mods don't take
likely to name calling and arguments. Where as on other boards its a free for all and a fiasco!! The terb board is well run.
