2013.What year was this??
Never went back, there are many more destination options for a great time that aren’t out to screw you over. In fact it was cheaper to fly to Macau and have a week of fun and enjoy real 5 star dining than Vegas.

Thank you for this wonderful post so many of us here forget how great we have it. Please enjoy your next trip hereThis is an interesting thread since I live in Las Vegas. I agree with just about everything that's has been mentioned here (except the posting about all Americans being lowlifes) I've been in Vegas for 40 years, I came from California in the 80s. This town was wonderful back then The rooms were $29-$49. buffets were $5.95. The food was awesome, the parking was free. A resort fee was unheard of. You could park right in front of the casinos back then, no parking garages. In the 90's when Steve Wynn started building mega resorts (Marige etc.) on the strip, then the big corporations like MGM ect. moved in, everything changed, prices went up, resort fees, parking fees, fees for everything. I couldn't even consider punting in this town, it has nothing but rip off fake positing bitches. That's why I go to Canada for some action. I love the way that you guy's have it there in Canada! and this board is awesome! I can't thank you enough for all the help and information I've received from this board. I'm looking to move to Canada If possible. I'll be there again next week. It'll be my third trip this summer. If it wasn't for the health benefits, I'd sell my home here cash out big time and move tomorrow, but I'm retired now and I need my health benefits I receive from the government. You guys are very fortunate.
Nice of you to say so I appreciate it. Canada has a lot to offer and a lot to appreciate, especially when you compared to this country.Thank you for this wonderful post so many of us here forget how great we have it. Please enjoy your next trip here
You moved there when I first visited there. I remember my girlfriend and I and her girlfriend pitched a tent in Banning and decided to wait until it cooled down a bit at night. It didn't 10.00 pm we drove in and wound the windows down. Blast furnace heat at that time of night. Warning signs on the road about cross winds on the highway, July of 84. I actually enjoyed the heat, having spent so many winters in Toronto. So it was exotic. Waitresses kept passing by in the casino with trays loaded with beer. I had to ask them how much and they said it was free. I asked if they accepted tips. She said yes, but most people don't. So I always gave her something each time she came by. Met some marines in a gas station that night, getting soft drinks. I asked them where the fuck their base was. They said it was further into the desert. They were doing desert training. I guess the government had plans even back then. I remember the $5.95 buffets and all the deals. Life was better then. This is an interesting thread since I live in Las Vegas. I will enjoy my stay I always do, I have my choices already lined up thanks to you guys and your reviews. I also like the fact that a lot of girls are working downtown. I always stay downtown I walked to where they are staying. I haven't done it yet, but I'm gonna do it this time. I want to venture off out of downtown and take a train to Markham one day and North York another day. Thanks to your wonderful transportation system you have it looks easy enough to do and it looks like there's a lot of opportunity out there that's not available downtown. You moved there when I first visited there. Enjoy Canada when you visit.
I've been out of the business for five years, from what I see on the news visitor attendance is down. I do benefit from the exchange rate I must admit, it does bring the price of my addiction down some.I used to go to Vegas 2-3x a year until this year. Probably won't be back while the current administration makes enemies of us for political clout (and the exchange rate.. whew). I haven't been keeping up on visitor attendance nowadays but friends told me WSOP had noticeably less people and the offers I'm getting from the casinos is insane (eg stay 1 night get 5 nights free) so I have to imagine it's not great rn.
Good choice Vegas doesn't really have anything to offer especially in terms of culture and history like London does. I've been there loved it. Trust me you'll enjoy it way more than coming to Vegas.. BTW what are you doing next week I'll be in town Wednesday...Was planning a trip to Vegas with some friends in February, it had been in the works for about 2 years but we're obviously not going to do that now. Taking a trip to London instead.
London is a blast too, enjoy! Was planning a trip to Vegas with some friends in February, it had been in the works for about 2 years but we're obviously not going to do that now. Taking a trip to London instead.
I was in a Vegas casino watching the NBA during the Bronco chase! Lolive been to Vegas about 6 or 7 times, not since about 8 or10 years ago....Funny enough I was in vegas during the Bronco ride of OJ Simpson...i was in the casino and was watching the NBA....all of a sudden the game cutaway only to see this Bronco going down the highway...what a spectacle
Wise alalysisIn the U.S., no one stops anything based on rational economic analysis or even common sense. Stops happen when real declines occur. Kind of like a dumb dog who eats until he/she throws up, wags its tail, and eventually overeats again.
Did the casino start taking bets on how it would end?ive been to Vegas about 6 or 7 times, not since about 8 or10 years ago....Funny enough I was in vegas during the Bronco ride of OJ Simpson...i was in the casino and was watching the NBA....all of a sudden the game cutaway only to see this Bronco going down the highway...what a spectacle
It was $30 a transaction in 2004 or 2005 when I was there. A friend or mine saw the rates above the ATM just before my transaction. So one of us took out money for three of us so it was "only" $10 each. What year was this??
