I had Custom Lasik at Lasik MD First Canadian Place about 21 years ago. Typed Lasik MD discount into Google and found out you get 20%(or was it 30%?) off if you have a Royal Bank Visa.
Did not want Visa as I have a Mastercard. Got one anyway and cancelled after paying for procedure. Regular price for Custom Lasik was $ 5000 at the time. Only thing that kind of bothered me is one eye is a bit sharper than the other. They said this would delay reading glasses and it has so far.
Custom Lasik back then was not really fully custom as they created the flap with a scalpel. Not long after my surgery, they started using the laser to create the flap.
They did mention that most complications were because of movement during the surgery.
