What's the difference (if any) between the Dating section of lavalife & Relationship? I'm just starting over there and I'd like to try & avoid Bad Newbie Movies.

Interesting to read some of the Intimate profiles as well. On the surface, there really do seem to be freebies out there. And you don't always have to play Scrabble either.

i met one lady in dating section section and she put out on the first date ( we just hit it off right away ), but she told me that she did not want to post and ad in intimate section, but overall lavalife is a waste, sometimes you might spend your credits on Instant messaging and it does not work.

I'm starting to believe that Lavalife is a waste of time. I've been a member for a couple of years now. Initially, I met a few women and went on some dates, but have hit quite a dry spell lately.

I'm not sure many of the women are that serious. A lot of women say in their ads that they don't like guys who are game players, but I think the women play more games than the guys.

It's interesting that there are thousands of ladies (and presumably guys as well) on lavalife yet the prevailing opinion is that it's a scam. This is not the only place where I've heard that - I have a small number of friends who also use it and they generally say the same thing.

One has to wonder why? On the surface it's something that seemingly should work at getting people together. I understand that ladies tend to get inundated with emails / IMs etc. So that means it's up to us guys to say something intelligent in said emails / IMs and on the profile, but at the same time I firmly believe that if you don't fairly represent yourself on the profile, then there's really no point.

Anyhow, I'm still a Newbie on lava so I'll give it a bit more time before I give up in despair. :) I will note though that I've spent 25% of my credits on emails that go unanswered so things are not looking too good so far. Maybe it is a scam? We'll see ...

The ratio of males to females is very unbalanced .Used to be about 14-1 . Lots of scammers on there .If actually loook at lava ,and other similiar sites see lot of the same woman listed .
