I had bought Law and Order U.K. a number of years ago. They took the same episodes/stories from the original L&A and just placed them in London with British actors. The plots were the same.

I downloaded/bought from Amazon the complete original Law and Order series that ran from 1990 through 2010, and then volumes 1 thru 17 of L&O:SVU.

Although I had seen them all when originally broadcast, they all felt new to me again, and I have to say they brought me through the "writers and actors strike" new TV drought beautifully.

I'm currently up to Season 7 of L&O:SVU...

Well thats par for the course. Despite what they say the cases are real... Finding the real case is psrt of the fun.

They already placed all the interesting cases of canada like karla holmolka in new york.

What would really be interested in showing the drug police empire.. The McCormick s and fords for example. Or blair and his pot . Law and order is way too pro status quo for that.

Let's suggest new plots specifically geared towards T.O.
Here's one: The son of a former mayor is found with his throat slit after ripping people off through his furniture store.(Note: all characters are fictionalized)

There is going to be trouble selling these overseas and to the US if they really accurately depict our local crime situation,

Because in my estimation at least 75% of it comes from folks out on parole from charges of other criminal events yet to come before the courts.

Other markets are going to think we are nuts to have this happen, and most of the time I would agree with them.

It is fiction not factual events. They can write things into the story to make it work.

Did they ever do an episode on the "Black Delia" murder? I think it is still unsolved.

I just saw a new commercial for this series. It was on CNN of all places. It consists of a bunch of small clips joined together. One of the clips shows two characters walking by Filmores with the sign plainly visible.

The mayor is running a human trafficking operation in his basement where where he works people like dogs. Aynone that doesn't meet quota or tries to escape are boiled in a pot of water while the rest dance around. He also has a secret room where he can role play that he's in the army, smoke crack and fuck his staffers.

Anybody watching season 2 of Reacher?
It's filmed in the GTA and trying to pass it off as NYC. There was a scene at Master Steak and Fort York Motel, both hobbyist hangouts.
