I am interested in buying a small (13" or 15") LCD television, and was told that I would need a cable connection in order to receive regular TV. Is this true?
I am looking to buy either a Sharp or Samsung and what I see listed for the Sharp under tuner specifications is: NTSC, PAL (Analog TV broadcast).
I am just looking for a set w/ a good sound and picture that I can watch regular TV and DVD's on. I have no interest in hooking up cable to it.
How important is HD ready or whatever? Meaning, if I don't get a set that has this abiltiy in one way or another, when they switch to HD mode will the TV be useless?
Thanks for the help in advance.
