Ok....now, admitedly, I'm a Calgary native who now resides in the GTA, but...

CBC is going to show the Mighty Leafs versus the Mighty Sharks...as opposed to the Battle of Alberta.

Which would you rather see? Leafs vs. the lowly Sharks, or Oilers vs. Flames?

CBC`s only concern is the audience numbers, and the Leafs are gold. But I`d far rather see Mars vs. Jupiter than the Leafs vs. anyone, so yes, I`d prefer the battle of Alberta.

It's all about regional coverage, your in T.O. so you get the Leafs, in you were in Alta. you would get that game.

Now if you had a Star Choice or Bell Express Vu satelite, that wouldn't be an issue. That's because there are (I believe) 8 CBC stations across Canada. (Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver) If you live in TO and don't want to watch the Leafs, simply flick to the CBC Calgary or Edmonton feed.
