Yep, the Leafs are weak up the middle and other teams are exposing that. A number one centres hard to come by in today's NHL. I would have given LA 5 first round picks for Kopitar, he is looking like a franchise player for the Kings.

Ya, but you're thinking like a business man. Oh ya, so are they, but some day the goose may get really sick. The Leaf tickets are the most expensive in the NHL averaging $125 and that's too rich for me.
Highest ticket prices like I said in my first line.
I was reacting to the line that "MLSE are a bunch of idiots.". Clearly they are not.
Now I hate the fact that the TPF has controling interest of the Leafs, but they are making money hand over fist.

The Leafs sell out every game, over 18,000 seats, with sky high prices. Most expensive tickets in hockey ... anywhere.
They have LeafsTV which makes money.
The ACC is making money.
Maple Leaf Square will bring in some nice coin.
Raptors and TFC make money.

The Leafs are the most financially successful hockey team on planet earth.

MLSE is valued at 1.5 billion

Yes, definite idiots. I should be such an idiot.
I guess we know who the idiots are now, the suckers who paid all that to see the biggest losers. Even the biggest empires can be taken down in one generation with bad management remember the Rockefeller family

What does the Leafs and a triangle have in common? 3 points.
Fear not, by examining the morphology of the Leafs, more points are coming their way. Good thing they name themselves Leafs and not 'The Triangle'.

With the 11 power plays the refs handed them and the 2 man advantages they had how could they not win? Burke should take the refs out for a nice dinner!
You mean as opposed to the 6 straight penalties they took in the first period in Vancouver?

it's been a brutal start but still;

I'd still rather start the season the way the leafs did this year as to how the Canadiens ended theirs last season.

Canadiens were supposed to go all the way last year... instead they went in February- 2nd in East... to March- 8th in the East and quick exit from first round of playoffs...

I'm not greedy, I'll be happy with even the 35th best centre in the league !

BTW, I thought Garbovsky played really well in the last couple of games and Ian White has been the best Leaf player so far.
