I could care less about the careers of David Letterman or Sarah Palin. The late nite shows are a bore and the same crap Carson did 25 years ago. I don't watch Leno either. Same jokes different names.

Letterman hides his wife and kid away from the public eye but has no problem talking about Alex R knocking up Palins daughter. Fuck him.

Like I said, I don't care if I ever see either one again and I wish them the best, but when you make fun of someones kid getting "knocked up" that's fucked up. Imagine having friends over for dinner and having them make a joke about your daughter getting knocked up. That's bullshit.

Like I said, If you totaled up the time I have watched Letterman and Leno, it might total an hour. Same old same old. I just think it really sucks when you bring the kids in. If that's humor, it's the lowest form. Attack Palin and not the kids.

I have little to base this on, but I prefer Leno to Letterman. Show you how little I think of both, I had FREE tickets offered to me by Casino Niagara for one of Leno's shows. I said "no thank you". I didn't want to be put to sleep that early while in Canada!!!

All I'm going to say is this. If Sarah Palin were a democrat the feminist groups would be all over Letterman for what he said about A Rod knocking up Palin's daughter. So far not a peep. Shows you how hypocritical the movement is.

I thought the joke was distasteful, slightly funny, but what irks Palin is the half assed apology he made. Its ok to mock a politician but when you start taking personal attacks on the kids, especially on such a sensitive issue, its out of bounds.

Dave was also quite clear in his apology when he said that a 14 year old having sex was inappropriate.

You admit that you've only seen Letterman's show very very sparingly, yet, you feel comfortable calling him an asshole. I guess that's fair, I think this is the first thread I've read where you've written something, and I've already formed an opinion of you.

"and I've already formed an opinion of you". I have not judged you. I try to be open minded. Dave Letterman has been in the public eye for 30 years. You don't have to watch his show to know him. I actually did seen him many years ago when he had a daytime show in the mornings. I think it was 10 am. I am an Indy car fan and he was an owner. So for the 30 years I have known him, I am not impressed. I have other interests and favorite comedians. Probably why I don't care for his "childish humor". Sorry.
