a great one day/one night getaway.....I am open to ALL suggestions.... up north here in town.... For a male FRIEND and myself. Nothing frou-frou
it's a thurs or Fri if it matters. I have looked at spas and some getaways and they seem boring.....
distance is not to much of an issue, was thinking of casinos (rama, niagara) or mabye just some cool thing going on in the city.
Thanks in advance......

You could try the Muskoka Sands resort. Or, The Bear Trail Inn. It's an "adults only" resort. By that, I only mean no kids allowed. Not as high end as Muskoka, but, nice facilities. They have both cabins or apts. overlooking the lake. They have a walking trail 50ft from the back that brings you into Algonquin Park. Fine dining room as well.

A lot of these are weather dependent. If you fiddle with timing you could combine a few of these too:

- hot air balloon ride (Caledon hills)
- horseback riding
- rock climbing
- quick dash to Banff or Tremblant or Whistler
- Domain of Killian
- paintball
- glider soaring
- driving adventure with BMW or at Mosport
- cooking class (Calphalon, Loblaws etc)
- Hockey Hall of Fame followed by Leafs game

Probably a good idea. There's only two games left this season anyways, and they're probably sold out.
