I just moved to T.O. and I am using Rogers cable internet for the first time. I used Telus DSL out west and everything was fine. Now I am having problems sending emails through my MAC account. I called Rogers several times and they asked me to call Apple. I tried to change my mail settings, but it is still not working... I have no problems receiving mails though. Could anybody help? Many thanks.

P.S. BELL wasn't able to have me hooked up to the internet. They blamed the wiring in my building. That's why I went to ROGERS. What a joke.

Try these things first

The mail shouldnt be a big problem. If you were using Telus' mail before you wont be able to continue to receive or send mail uising their servers since you have disconnected. So you will need to setup new mail accounts either in Mail or Entourage or whatever mail client you are using. In Entourage its the Accounts option under the Tools menu and in Mail its the Add Account... option under the File menu. Remember to enter in the appropriate pop and smtp server addresses that Rogers gave to you as the mail clinet asks for them. Mixing them up will result in it not working.

As far as connecting is concerned - Are you sitting behind a router or directly connected. Or are you connected by wire or conntected wirelessly? If you start with that then it becomes easier to diagnose.
