On his show tonight, Sept 13, Maher claimed that since August 21, the date of the gas attack in Syria, while 1400 were killed in Syria over 1800 were killed by guns in America.

10,000 murders, you're not counting suicides, accidental shootings, undetermined causes.Seems a bit high, statistically speaking. They normally have just over 10,000 per year. So in about a month, only around 900 of them should kill each other with guns. Sounds like an exaggeration to me.
