Are there any (IDK the correct terminology) brothels, businesses, massage parlors, sex clubs, etc in Canada that require the sex workers to get STD tested regularly and provide clean results in order to continue working?

I have heard of places like this, but I haven't had the best luck in the search engine on terb with this question.

If they do test, is it actually regulated and reliable? What do they test for and how often?

Most agencies require the girls to get tested before they are even hired and again every three months or so.

Indys usually get tested every 3-6 months. However , It is completely up to the individual on how much they get tested.

Clients should be getting tested every 3-6 months as well if they are a frequent hobbyist .

Thank you.

Thank you for your input. Do you think the tests the agencies require from the girls have strict guidelines that are enforced and are reliable?

I suppose I am wondering if the girls can fake their records, bribe the agencies, or maybe the agencies just have a careless lackadaisical attitude about test results and will overlook bad results for money.

All of them may say they do, but
  • You should never trust others for your safety. Test frequently, use condoms, if you do riskier play or play with men look into PrEP (but ideally, do not go risky, PrEP can have side effects and only reduces the chance of HIV), et cetera... Others say test every 3-6 months, but if you play a lot, test even more so (I test monthly).
  • Agencies, shops, and SPs aren't beholden to follow through their guidelines. In Canada, buying such services are illegal, so there really isn't any legal entity that enforces it. Go blame C13 if you want, but no one is going to go after them for skipping an HIV test.
  • You would think most SPs know their sex ed. Especially with foreign ones, that's not necessarily true.
  • Even if they do follow guidelines, window periods exist.
TL;DR: You can only trust yourself. Play safe.

I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly. There's no DineSafe program for escorts like for restaurants. An escort could theoretically do all the things you mentioned, but you would never know if it happened.

There is no such thing as zero risk in this or any other activity in life. If this makes you uncomfortable, then don't partake at all or use protection every time and for every sex act even kissing. Just be aware, that there's always a possibility of catching something however small.

Ive never worked for an agency. Ive had friends who have & said some require mandatory testing. However like you , i only have assumptions & hope that they are enforcing practicing safe sex & safe sex habits.

It is common sense that the ladies who work full or part time at agencies get tested frequently.
I would think they worry more about their health than the clients they meet.
Take into consideration all the risque acts the ladies do compared to the men.
Why should the agency enforce testing when self awareness should dictate regular checkups and testing.
The agency should verify that tests have been completed with negative results.

I think most agencies care and would encourage regular testing. Years ago I got chlamydia from a well known SP and once I found out I contacted the agency and they thanked me and immediately took her off schedule.

I suspect some SPs are more diligent than others. Some engage in unprotected sex with clients (don't be naive), bfs and OF collaborators. Some say they get regularly tested but even then, the same SPs will continue to work week after week and not wait the requisite 7-10 days for a negative blood/urine result.

So I guess in the immortal words of Clint Eastwood, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
