Just announced on the news today...the Manor will be losing their liquor license from May 17-24th for violations re: a recent promotion event they had there, and are also banned from holding Special Promotional Events at their location for 2 years!!

well that will be a dead week but I will bet the occasional discreet drink will be available out back - just a guess but the way things go there it wouldn't surprise me. No matter I like the dollhouse better lately - it friendlier and about 20 minutes closer to me as well

just curious - what sort of "special promotion" caused them to lose their liquor license???

So, is it official the Manor is closing next week?

I fully agree with previous posts about the recent decline of the Manor, and the lack of having a fun and entertaining atmosphere in this place.

Here is my observation, I have been to the Manor several times, in the past couple of months, and I noticed that some of the dancers drank very heavily, to a point they were intoxicated. I do not believe this is good for the club’s image, especially, when the girls get so drunk, they start begging the customers for drinks, and becomes very annoying.

I go to strip clubs to be entertained, have fun and enjoy the atmosphere, and not be annoyed by alcoholic dancers. I think this is one of the reasons why people stopped going, and the club should be doing something about it.

One positive note, the night shift DJ is cool and very entertaining.

Hmmm. The way I see it, some girls drink because they are bored and not doing anything else. In my opinion, if they were busy, then they wouldn't drink as much because they would be too busy dancing. But this isn't the case, so they drink.

I go there all the time and I don't see alcoholic dancers very often. Once in a while I do and when I talk to them, they tell me that they are drinking because they are not busy.

I do believe that the bar is trying to limit this problem.

I agree about the DJ. He's one of the best I've seen here yet. He's always getting the crowd into it.

The bar will definitely be closed from the 17th to the 24th, I believe. They may even be open on the 24th.

Word is they will use the time to do some renovations to the place which is in bad need of it. They've already started ripping out part of the VIP area.

When they renovate the VIP/Flamingo Lounge they may want to consider renovating the $22.00 entrance fee and the door fee at night. There may have been a time when the extra cost was acceptable for most. But I think thoses day's are done. I've had some excellent mileage at the Manor in the past, but it's hit and miss. I can go to CB in Brampton and if I happen to miss on a particular dancer, I can take another one for a spin. But at the Manor I have to belly up to the bar and pay another entrance fee...fuck that noise.

So, it is official, the club is closing next week!

I am glad to hear the club is trying to limit the dancers drinking problem, but how? I hope the club will take the customer’s interest and level of comfort into consideration.

Renovations are definitely required, like having two main dancing stages, instead of one, Sometimes, I can not view the dancer on the main stage, because of two many obstructions, and being far from it.

What will happen to the permanent girls next week? Some of them have been there for over a year. Are they being shipped to other clubs for a week, and will come back when the club re-opens?

As far as the $22 entry fee, I do not mind paying it, as long as I pay for it once in a day, and then I am allowed to visit the VIP area, as many times I like.

And they didn't tell the LCBO about it. Apparently a bad no-no. I heard they got nailed in a gray area......which allowed them to choose which week they were to close.

Manor Dancers Wherabouts

Calloway, I know you are the source of all good and accurate news, and girls citing. So, tell me what is happening to the girls who work at the Manor during this week, more specifically, the dancers who have been at the Manor, for over a year. I would like to know because I may have some time during this week, to go and visit with them, especially if they have been relocated west of Guelph, as in Woodstock, London, or Sarnia.

I haven't been to the Mirage in about a year... but stopped by last night and was shocked to see some Manor and Dollhouse ladies working there. The Mirage even has a new VIP area in the back over by the pool table. Two VIP areas... both $5 entry. I'll let you guys figure out the obvious... ;)

Is this place open now?

When was the opening day, and how was it? Has there been any changes in the décor? Is there a new breed of girls, or is it business as usual? Please report, before I make the long trip to the Manor! Thanks.

OK. Here's a report.

I was there Tuesday night (opening day). It seems that a lot of the renovations that they were planning were not done. (why am I not surprised).

The floor around and on the stage has been replaced. That's about it.

The hole in the roof hasn't been fixed yet. And they are still working on the Flamingo room. Access to the Flamingo is through the back door temporarily as the main entrance is under construction. So far the renovations in the main entrance to the Flamingo look real nice. The staff has told me that renovation completions are probably about 2 weeks away.

As for the girls, business as usual. Nothing unsual to report.

On opening night, the crowd in my mind was pretty good. It looked to me like the girls were busy as a lot of them were making their way to the Flamingo's back door with customers. The Budweiser girls were there that night. I was having fun considering I didn't spend any money for dances.

That's my report. I'll be checking it out again on Friday night.

Here's an update on the Flamingo room.

The very back four booths will be enclosed and isolated from the rest of the booths with glass doors along with a small plasma TV in each booth. Rumour has it that these booths will be around $50 as opposed to the normal $22.00 you pay to get in, once its completed. The remaining booths will remain as is. If the TV is turned on, it produces more light in whats normally a very dark booth, so this is good if you actually want to see anything.

Of course, with the booths being enclosed, I would imagine alot more happening back there. ;)
