A women who personified the saying, ' you have to break a few eggs to make omelets.' She was listed as the 6th most influential women of modern times.

She was not well for many years, living in a hotel because she couldn't handle stairs at home. A stroke, on top of dementia, is a tough way to go.

She had many sayings.........."If you want something said, ask a man......if you want something done, ask a woman." lol

I just read this one and is pretty witty....."The trouble with you, John, is your spine does not reach your brain." Now that's ballsy considering she said it to a government official.

The Iron Lady, one of the 20th centuries great politicians. Did the unthinkable and led the Brits to war in the Falklands, which propelled her popularity and highlighted herself as a real leader.

She was not only the first woman to serve as British Prime Minister, but also the longest serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century

The date and time have yet to be announced but she will receive a Ceremonial Funeral with military honours at St. Paul's Cathedral London.*

* The first Prime Minister to be so honoured since Sir Winston Spencer-Churchill, K.G.

Ya but her movie was unwatchable
Obviously for some. I enjoyed it and thought Meryl Streep's performance of Thatcher coping with dementia was brilliant.

A significant insight to her character was that the term 'The Iron Lady' came from the Soviets.

There's virtually no middle ground when it comes to opinions about Maggie Thatcher.

There's people in Britain who will be partying with their mates tonight and singing ding dong the witch is dead. Equally there'll be people crying in their beer convinced that she saved a moribund Britain that without her would have plummeted headlong into economic catastrophe

All these jokes about the Iron Lady being dead disgust me.

They should let her rust in peace.

I have mixed feelings about her.

She was a true leader and a traditional conservative. Yes her economic policies were sound and London did benefit handsomely from them, but she turned half her nation into an economic wasteland. They will be partying in Newcastle tonight.
