I hated Friends, way too Pollyanna. It's as if the creators decided to make an anti All in the Family type of show where everything is bland and lillywhite.

Couldn't stand Matthew Perry either, especially now that I know he used to beat up a kid three years his junior...that's quite an accomplishment. Michael K Williams I felt a real sense of loss over. Phenomenal actor who died of an OD from injecting Fentanyl laced Heroin.

We live in a world where the actors who played Tony Soprano and Omar Little are no longer with us.

Oh I thought I was the only one that was not a friend of Friends and their closed circle. Must admit that I was not a Seinfeld fan or Big Boring er Bang Theory where the character's voices were like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
Really sucks he squandered his life and gave into his addiction but not going to mourn him.

I didn't watch the show either except for a few times when flipping channels.
I have trouble with fiction, more so as I get older.
I have watched 90 Day Fiance though. I guess that is quasi fiction.

Haha watching 90 Day is dirty little secret on the same level as being a hobbiest. 😆

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about addiction.

Actually I do know quite a lot about addiction and have had a lifetime of dealings with addicts in both my personal and work life. Does not mean I am required to mourne someone who has chosen to slowly kill themselves, and certainly not for a guy who was worth 150 million dollars.

It was your "gave into his addiction" comment. Geeeeze, maybe he should've just snapped out of his addiction. Someone who spends upwards of $10 million to fight their addiction, isn't choosing to slowly kill themselves.

Your making it sound like it's a choice of "do I wear my blue shirt today or the red one?" You have no idea what your talking about.
You are right and neither do you as you have not lived my experiences. But feel free to tell strangers what you think they don't know.

At least I know it's not a simple as "making a choice" like the usual everyday choices we make. People become dependent on this shit. Once it's a grip on you, it can be an extremely hard cycle to break.

Some people are hooked on substances so bad that it's not even physically safe for them to stop cold turkey. They need to be weaned off it. So it's not a matter of just "making a choice".

Once and addict always an addict.

Matthew Perry spent two weeks in a coma in 2022 after ODing on prescribed opioids. How much of the money he spent toward Bi-Polar Disorder treatment? You can't treat the symptoms without treating the disease.

Some drugs like crack cocaine leave a lasting imprint, Mike Lindell and Tom Hardy were both crack addicts. For the cuddly My Pillow Guy, its driven him insane to the point of destroying his company. Sometime in the 2000 Hardy must have gotten proper counseling, he appears to have a solid game plan for dealing with his demons.

This s done for humorous effect, Tom Hardy was already a degenerate crackhead before St Nemesis. He got himself blacklisted from Hollywood by slapping Paul Bettany (WandaVision) horizontal. Had he stayed in LA he probably would have ended up dead in a ditch. He went back to London to get himself clean, he's maintained his fitness regimen to the present day. He doesn't even own property in LA, although having the keys to Leo's house may not be good for him.

It wasn't Christopher Nolan who brought him back, it was Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Buprenorphine is not an opiate Phil. You don't get high from it.

ketamine is used clinically in his case for depression.

No matter what he was still a solid dude. His death shouldn't mitigate his message about addictions.

Bupe is most definitely an opiate: https://www.google.ca/search?q=bupr...wEY0QPCAg4QABiABBiKBRixAxiDAQ&sclient=gws-wiz

You do get very high from it, but its mostly used as an opiate substitute to get addicts off drugs.
You are right about ketamine. Very effective against severe depression from what I've read.

I'm not sure why you're getting mad at me, I never said he wasnt a solid dude.
All I said I wanna go out like he did, without feeling a thing.

If I ever get cancer I'm doubling up on every available drug I can find, and go out in a sunshine of glory!! :D
