I love going into McDonalds for breakfast with a coupon that says 2 can dine for 5.98 ,2 breakfast sandwiches ,2 hashbrowns and 2 coffee. I wanted to sub 1 small coke for the 2 coffee and they had the nerve to want to charge me 1.50 more ,I politely told them to insert gently for that special. Piss me off.

II just watched the Movie "Super Size Me" tonight on PPV and it was just amazing that a perfectly healthy guy who ate nothing but McDonalds for 30 days came close to dying. I hardly ever eat at McDonalds and after watching this documentary I don't think I ever will again.

jer, most of the time the cashiers at McD don't think. Once you break their train of Q & A order taking, the whole order risks collapsing, not making it out of the kitchen on time.

They are robots.

Hey Jer, did you get pissed off enough to wanna stick a used condom in the cashier's pocket?

Coke for breakfast?

That's what threw them off. They most likely did not turn on the pumps yet to pour the coke. LOL.

At McD's it's not the staff but the management that gets to me. They play the we are training kids to be responsible card a little too heavy. They just want to take advantage IMO of kids who are hard up for work. The shifts are crazy, the pay is low etc. All in the name of profit, profit, profit. And when it's busy at McDs IMO these kids are under a lot of pressure. IMO in most cases they handle it well. I notice the big difference when a manager is on the front line serving people. The service level actually drops.

Anyway... like I posted before long time ago ever since a manager told me I can't have tap water any more and must pay $1. for bottle water and then on top of that insulted my intelligence by trying to tell me it was a City of Toronto Health Dept regulation. (This after getting breakfast there at same location almost every morning for months) I told her straight up to stuff it and have never went back since to that location. And very few times to any other location.

P.S. If you like breakfast sandwiches and quick service... try Subway Sub. They are not bad at all. I go to the one in Metro Hall a couple times a week. I lmao every time when I see the long line up at McD's there and I have my breakfast sandwich cooked fresh and am finished eating before some are even through the line up at McD's.

It's funny how society makes excessive drinking, smoking, and drug use a priority when the largest PREVENTABLE epidemic North America faces is obesity.

The few times I actually used those coupons for two of everything, the cashier advised me to just get a meal deal... b/c it was cheaper...

Did you ever look at a McD's cash register? It's just a box with a bunch of pre programmed buttons on it. They made it simple for the people working there. You come in with the coupon ... she pushes one button (coupon special #22) and the transaction is completed. The store computer then deducts what’s on the coupon from inventory. Because of this she can only give you what’s on the coupon. The problems arise when guys like you want to trade things around. There is no button for trading 2 coffees for a coke. The only way she can give you a coke is to sell you one.
