...it looks like this is a complete team that has no clue..Kaberle doesn't look much better than Mc Cabe these days..the rest of the defense blows, Ian White is too small to bump pee wee players off the puck, let alone NHL players..Woesneiski looks like a clumsier version of Hal Gill...that is a real talent..Kronwell is not ready for this league..and who am I forgetting??..the 6 th man sucks as well..
As far as forwards, there are only 3 on this team that are playing NHL calibre hockey right now...Antropov, Sundin and Wellwood. What NHL team could you convince to take any of the others on this team??....the goaltending is among the worst in the league...the kind that makes the big spectacular save at times, but what should be routine saves end up in the back of the net....Yep 14th and falling fast...I'm not sure that its' Maurice's fault, but I expect him to be out of a job in 7-10 days.
The time has come ....40 yrs of band aid solutions. Trade at least one of the big 3 mentioned above...or maybe Poni..he might have a bit of value ...the blow up of this sorry franchise is long overdue..Let the young guys sink or swim...a few 60 pt seasons will get us some draft picks, get a GM who knows how to manage..and in another 3 or 4 yrs , the Leafs might have a competitive product..
