The more racism is used when it shouldn't, the more it will be ignored when it should not be ie crying wolf .Media over react ? Say it is not so.

You don't seem to fully understand the history of blackface and how demeaning it is to black people. I can assure you that many find it offensive and do not consider the media coverage an overreaction, given the connotations of what blackface symbolizes. It really is no different to many African-Americans/Canadians than the Harry-Hitler costume was to WWII and Holocaust survivors, as it symbolized their oppression, exploitation and humiliating stereotypes. (Not to mention their murder, kidnapping and cultural destruction at the hands of the slave trade that facilitated it.) And given the power dynamic at the time of the minstrel shows' popularity, it was clearly meant as racist.I don't know about the amount of sports players going in black face, but whats with the media frothing over it everytime hoping they just caught a closet David Duke?
The only comfort from the article is the voting with over 96% consider it a media overreaction. The other group worries me though.
Fans and people know there is no message of hate, thus no story.
About the only poor taste costume I've ever seen in past yrs, is Prince Harry going in a Hilter uniform. Some things can't have a funny spin put on them.
But this is just harmless. Besides, maybe Torres put him up to it..lol
Didn't he show ultimate stupidity also cause he must have heard the reaction Raffi Torres's got last year ? How about this ... Why not play it safe if you choose to be in the public spotlight ?You don't seem to fully understand the history of blackface and how demeaning it is to black people. I can assure you that many find it offensive and do not consider the media coverage an overreaction, given the connotations of what blackface symbolizes. So while Bozak is probably not (i don't know him) a racist, he showed incredible insensitivity and poor judgment in using blackface. (Not to mention stupidity, given MJ's "pigmentation issues" as others have pointed out.)
Put it this way - to Kat and all those who say it's no big deal - if you had (have? i don't know you) a son or daughter, would you let him or her wear blackface makeup?
Is he going out mimicking a black man or is he going as Micheal Jackson . When you see Jordon , Ali , or Micheal Jackson ... Do you even see a black or white man or transcend race and you just see greatness .Perhaps I don't understand, but I feel 'Blackface' is to make yourself up like Al Jolson, which is what some have done in the past and isn't funny to me.
But going out as a 'blackman' isn't the same. What Bozak did is no differant then Eddie Murphy being made up as a white man in a Saturday night live skit.
I have to disagree about it being the same as what Prince Harry did too. That costume I even touched on in my original post, and felt it was way too much. There is just no funny spin on Genocide.
But going up as the 'Thriller' version of Michael Jackson? I just see no harm in it, and don't see it as being done up like Al Jolson.
Not even in the same universe. You don't seem to fully understand the history of blackface and how demeaning it is to black people. +1 again. I asked 4 black co-workers what they thought. None of them thought it was offensive. One lady made a GREAT point. She said looking for racial issues where they do not exist has a tendency to diminish real racial issues where a spotlight is needed. Not even in the same universe.
Dressing up as a member of a group of mass murderers and dressing up as a famous black performer is equally insulting ? You are way off on this one Cap.
