If Elisha Cuthbert is a 6, and Britney Spears is a 5, we are living in a world of twos. I think that a lot depends on what you can get. If you get 8s all the time, why would you do a 5, unless there were special circumstances. But if you can only get 3s, it is presumably better than not getting laid at all.
And the standard has to be way different if you are paying for it, she has to be at least 2 points more if you are paying. Perhaps it should be like this:
- Start with your rating. Perhaps I am a 6.
- Add your wife's rating, and divide by 2. Perhaps my wife is an 8, so my average is now 7.
This is your base rating. Now adjust for the situation:
- If you are drunk, deduct 3.
- If you are paying, add 2.
- If you are not willing to make an effort, such as dating her, listening to crap, and not paying, deduct 2.
- If she looks like your hot coworker, your buddies mom from when you were a kid, or some other woman you were attracted to, deduct 1.
- If she looks like your mom or your sister, add 2.
Add it all up, and that is the minimum rating you should consider.
So if I am not drunk, paying, she is regular, I would not go below a 9 (though on reflection, I do).
If I was drunk, not paying, and she looked like my teacher, and I was not willing to work, I would go as low as a 1.
