Is anyone else simply disgusted with how the Muslim fellow's comments from this show were broadcast around the world as supporting terrorism..... while the Jewish fellow's comments which more directly condones state sponsored terrorism did not receive any scrutiny???

How many people realize that Israel uses state sponsored terrorism to retaliate to a suicide bomber???

How many people realize that after a suicide bomb occurs, the Israeli Army sends in missle strikes into the suicide bombers family home wiping out his/her family???

A little while ago, one of the Toronto newspapers published a tally for the year of Israli deaths due to suicide bombings vs. Palestinian deaths due to Israeli violence. If I remember correctly, for every one Israeli killed almost 2 Palestinians were killed.

The reason I bring this up is that alot of this is very new to me, and I am curious if I just have had my head up my ass all this time.

NOTE: I am not looking from responses from people who are polarized to one side or the other.

Didn't the Jewish fellow step down from his leadership post after criticism while the Muslim fellow refused?

Well of course. Coren is a very "right-wing" sort of a guy.
He's sort of Canada's answer to Bill O'Reilly. I don't think
having extreme opposite viewpoints duke it out on TV generates anything but excess emotion. People watch this stuff much the same way they watch reality TV, Springer etc.

None...that's why I am asking..... Growing up, I used to feel some trust in what was reported as news, and I felt intelligent enough to sort throught the bullshit.... or so I thought...

Huh??? were you asking me this question???? I have reread my post many many times, and I cannot find any reference that I have taken a position one way or the other.

My topic was simply that the two sides said essentially the same thing.... yet one side is cast as the villian for almost 3 weeks, while the speaker from the other side's comments were deemed acceptable until an Islamic group reviewed the tape of the show reviewing the Muslim fellows comments and were surprised at the Jewish fellow comments.... it was not until they brought up the issue that the other media outlets jumped got into the act..

Don... the muslim fellow offerred his resignation, but his group refused to accept the resignation...

Well I think he should resign also. Anyway I didn't really read too much about the story but I felt both the jewish and muslim guy were equally looked down upon by whatever I was reading (I think it was The Star).
