Skippy,
How about you review this thread.
BTW, do you happen to work for K Rove?
It was YOU that went from MM to LBJ as a retort as to which side had the bigger idiots.

I have 3 words for you.

Lyndon Baines Johnson

.....As if LBJ was responsible for NAM.

To which I replied:
Well I will counter that with 3 words for you.

Dwight David Eisenhower!

It was Ike, in fact, who got the US into that Viet Nam Debacle in the first place. LBJ just 'carried on' what Ike started.

Funny thing it was Ike who warned us about the MIC.
Ike knew first hand what these bastards in the MIC were capable of.
Cheney/Dubya, lacking any conscience, just do the bidding of the MIC....

It was here your 'fallback' retort was to throw in JFK to muddy the issue.
you replied:
I couldn't help but notice you left Kennedy out of the debate on Vietnam.

As for Eisenhower. I would argue that his conduct in Europe during WW2 saved many lives.

I replied:
LOL !!!!
That's because Ike left JFK out of what was happening in Nam!!!!!!
JFK was completely blindsided about Nam when JFK became POTUS.
It wasn't till 1960 that JFK learned the extent of US involvment in Nam.
You know how the GOP likes to 'hide things from us', well they hid it from JFK and us also.....

Now YOU go back to MM and reply:
Woody,

You need to cut back on the Michael Moore propaganda, it's clouding your.....er.........judgement, for lack of a better word.

Cut back on the MM letters and try reading a history book every now and again.

Kennedy was a staunch believer in the domino effect and supported the initial involvement in Vietnam. He was the one who trippled the amount of military advisors there in the early part of 1961.

I replied:
Everyone believed in the domino MYTH back then!!!!!!
That's all the GOP carped on about!!!!!
If you didn't swallow that bull you were 'soft on communism', etc.
In the end it all proved to be pure GOP BULLSH*T!!!!!!
Now the rage was WMDs.....more pure GOP BULLSH*T!!!!!!

The more things change, the more the GOP reamains the SAME!!!....

Sure JFK did some escalation in his 1000 days, but LBJ escalated things to the nth degree hoping to end things sooner and from GOP goading to escalate. LBJ did the major killing/bombimg in NAM, JFK's body counts were low by comparison. Now we has Dubya (who spent most of his time during NAM in the Air Force in a 'Blow & Booze' Stupor) escalating in Iraq all over again!

Dam I really don't know what WTF I'm doing,
I just do what Uncle DICK tells me to do!!!

More history according to a cross eyed woodpecker

It took you 3 days to come up with this????????????????

Nice work on the cut and paste by the way.

As I read your highlighted segments of the thread, it only confirms your lack of a solid grasp on reality. You may be the only "historian" who lays the blame of the Vietnam debacle on Eisenhower while denying any blame on LBJ.

I find your assessment ridiculous and lacking common sense. Since I do not support Bush, using your twisted logic, you must be a Bush supporter!

How did I absolve LBJ of blame as you claim???????
I gave LBJ FULL CREDIT for the major killing/bombing that took place during the Nam Debacle!

The fact that many of your posts are riddled with sarcasm, insults, sound bites and euphemisms, it's not entirley the readers fault that you would be misunderstood.

At any rate, you are forgiven :D

Michael Moore produces a propaganda picture and campings heavily and his candidates lose, he hides under a rock and his party does well. I welcome him to the 08 election!

I love bush. But I do prefer it trimmed or shaved completely. Oh- wrong topic, sorry.
Thank god for people like Michael Moore.
How come there are no funny right wing commentators? Rush makes me laugh, but its at him and not with him.
