Actually, it is potentially the biggest piece of shit possible. It gives you all the answers, but are the answers right?

Think that is a strange question? Consider the difference between CNN and Fox News Channel. They both report the same stories, and yet, somehow, the news is different on both.

Can you imagine a search engine run only by Stephen Harper and his cronies? How much of that would be truly accurate?

This thing could end up being quoted as often as Wikipedia, and about as accurate (wiki is full of shit about 20% of the time).

Like Kevin O'leary sais: Its all about the MON-neeeeeey! How will it make MON-Neeeeeeey? How often does the average person need to have complex questions like that answered? Who will sponsor it?

They say the lunch is May 09. If it is this close to launch date why are they not giving us the exact day?

Two minutes to launch. (Although they anticipate some glitches on blastoff with some heavy usage.)

I think this is going to be a cool engine.

Its not going replace google, but I think it will cause a lot of people to start googling in different ways, and reboot some linear thinkers down some new paths.

I wonder when the IPO is coming out? I heard that 5 K invested in google ten years ago is worth like five million now...

Yes, but Google has only been public for five years. The IPO price was $100 per share, and it is now trading at $390, so if you could get in on the IPO, you could have quadrupled your money in five years. Nice, but nothing like 1000 times in ten years. Only insiders were able to buy any ten years ago.

WolframAlpha is the same thing, they say they have a working product. If so, and it works, then they will be able to go public with a very large capitalization, and once again, the pre-IPO investors will make all the money.

Not impressed.

I suspect that they plan to get bought out by an established search engine and annexed.

It's hit and miss, they're going to have to work on coverage and performance.... cool idea though....
