I even forgot what MLS stood for.. but it was the master listing for real estate. Every real estate company used it and I know the average person can view it, maybe 7 - 10 years ago.

Does anyone know what happened to that site? did it change names?

It's a very useful tool but remember that broker have access to listing a few days before they are publicly listed. So trying to buy on your own is not a good idea. You will only get listing that either already have an offer on them and/or listing not wanted by broker after a few days, which is not a good sign.

Not so much anymore. That was the case years ago but now its more like an hour or so difference between broker and public.
