Montreal prostitution ring used 12-year-olds

Police in Montreal say they have dismantled a juvenile prostitution ring that offered sexual services from children as young as 12 through a local escort service.

Six men between the ages of 21 and 47 were arrested in the course of the investigation, the most recent arrest coming on Tuesday.

Robert Mansueto of the Montreal police force.
The suspects face a total of 120 charges including pimping, sexual assault and forcible confinement.

Most of the 12 victims used by the Sextacy escort service were between the ages of 12 and 17.

Some had run away from their families. Others had been living in group homes.

Their services were sold over a website that invited clients from as far away as Ontario to choose "a young lady" for the evening.

"They were marketed as adults, and they also had some fake ID, so obviously the clients had no idea they were actually dealing with minors," said Robert Mansueto of the Montreal police force.

A tip from a 14-year-old girl being used as a prostitute triggered the police investigation a few months ago, Mansueto said.

None of the clients of the escort service has been arrested, according to Mansueto.

No offense intended but I don't think its right to list the site on an "I think" could be a real bad issue if you are wrong for all parties JMHO

I forgot to add that to my comment - Totally sick - imagine being a client that booked there - I have chills just thinking of the idea.

Between a rock and a hard place
Some times you just don't know. With enough window dressing, with the imagery pushed at us through the fashion industry, you can be fooled. If they claim they are 18, and they use fake ID, unwitting participants have nothing to feel guilty about, as long as they act responsibly afterward and come forward. Just to be safe Im going to limit my patronage to more experienced women for a while

Good/ valid point, as I am familiar with the potential 'consequences' and 'harm' issues, I merely passed on the URL I saw broadcast on CBC National News last night with a high percent of certainty, with the caveat 'I think'. Pardon me for not using the word recall vs. think. Unless I had a videotape/ PVR copy of the broadcast, I would not say "this is the website". I really need a PVR...LOL...

No offense taken, my recollection at the time I posted last night was the URL posted. I called today, as you made an interesting point and no one is answering and there is no voicemail at the 'alleged' business/ agency...

:)

Do you think anyone would own up to it if they did?
If they got some form of 'protection' from prosecution and could help put away these alleged criminals, why not. It would send a stronger deterent/ message into the marketplace, no?

Most feel children need societies protection...call crimestoppers
[ http://www.222tips.com/ ]if know something or can help put away disgusting people like these 6 who were charged this week in Montreal...
