I think it is unfair to point your finger at one gender since both fall prey. For example, I sometimes feel marginalized by clients who come to me with great anticipation, fully expecting me to succumb to their every whim and desire, which is not always tasteful (IMO). Mutual respect is a definite requirement in this business.

...I didn't actually mean it that way. I know some of you ladies are world class acts. I have nothing but admiration...hell...ENVY...for the ladies who are at the top of the game. I still shake my head with fascination and admiration...to be so attractive...so charming....so interesting and so sexy that men are prepared to pay you just to BE with you. To have that level of understanding of the male psyche...that is game. It is.
