Motorola V300 Cell Phones

Who, besides myself, thinks these phones are a piece of shit.

Both mine and my daughters phone has lost the ability to listen to the "other end" voices once connected. Sometimes there is no ringing at all but the line is still dailing and gets connected. People can hear you at the other end but you cannot hear them unless, sometimes, you connect the speaker mechanism and hear them that way. One other work associate has the same proble with his too.

Anyone else?

Time for me to vent here. I do not have that problem, but my phone no longer rings! Farking thing has to be on vibrate all the time, which does not work all that good either. Piss me off, it is not a year old yet.

Both of my phones are only 8 and 9 months old.

Have you tried going to:

Settings - Network - Network Setup - Speed


I think that Motorolla V series phones have the speed set to slow by default.

You might get better performance by changing to a higher speed.

My V300 would only work via the "Speaker" after 10 - 11 months..I traded up to the V635...

I'm not a cell phone expert. I own a V600 and took it to the Roger's service centre in Scarborough to fix the head phone jack.

The manager told me that people were having trouble with reception with the V600 and that switching the speed setting often fixed the problem.

If your phone is less than a year old, it should still be on warranty. You can contact Motorola and/or your cell phone provider for help.

samething happened to me sent it back and took 6 weeks grabed a knew phoned pics arent as good but features are better sony ericsson flip phone v 300 will never work right

Sent mine in for warranty repair. Kept getting a frigging error message saying "invalid battery". It was gone for 8 weeks, they finally admitted they couldn't fix it and replaced it with a new one.

Ring Ring

Well my V300 rings for no apperant reason at all...no call comig through but it just rings...might me possessed!

I have had many cell phones and taken them in for warranty due to problems and have just come to the point that I will just get a new or refurbished one. It is not worth the hassle, and thier loaner phones from are from 10 years ago and they dont work, and by the time you get your phone back something else is wrong with it.

You can also extend your contract another 2 - 3 yrs and they will let you pick another phone of your choice. Seeing as Rogers now own Fido as well as Sprint you are probably gonna be stuck with them for the rest of your life.
