OK let's start all this over...

Brazil 4 England 3 aet. Brazil win on a penalty after Nicky Butt accidently beheads rinaldo in the box. Great game. should've been the final.

Germany 1 USA 0. Tedious match won by a first minute goal followed by both teams backpedalling furiously for 89 minutes.

Turkey 2 Senegal 1. I just have a funny feeling about them durn Turks sneaking up on everybody's blindside.

Spain 3 Korea 0. It's got to end somewhere. 40,000 suicides within a hour of the final whistle. N' korea invades triggering a nuclear strike on Baghdad. Rest of the competition cancelled.

Germany vs. America, isn't it great when old wars are revisited through soccer?

predictions

Spain 2 S Korea 1
Germany 2 U.S. 1
Senegal 2 Turkey 1
England 2 Brazil 1

I guess I had the best record last round, though I missed 3!

Wish I'd had the guts to call S Korea over Italy - should have gone with how they played this tournament (S Korea awesome Italy looking like they had somewhere else to be) but I got suckered by past history...

Brazil 3 England 1 - England will be outrun and outgunned on this one - the lads'll be outplayed up and down the field.

Germany 0 USA 2 - tis one'll be a sleeper

Turkey 2 Senegal 1. agreed

Spain 1 Korea 2 - the upset of the WC - watch these guys run

No Officianado Here....

.....but at some point I think we'll see a tea party minus George III!
I do believe the Royalists will meet the Colonials!
It shall be a taxing event with a result somewhat different from the original!
Yes!! Willy sees England in the final!
Now how naive is that????
With Ireland gone, we still have to keep it somewhere close to home!
Just an off the wall prediction!

The way things are going...a Senegal vs South Korea final wouldn't surprise me! If this tournament has proved one thing, it's that it's unpredictable.

V

VatoLoco

Unpredictable Indeed!

Lucky Jackson, you are a wise man making such a prediction.
Anything can happen, there is a lot of factors to consider.
Luck being the biggest one, as we've seen a couple of times already in this Cup, when a team has Lady Luck on their side
it's all good but when she isn't, hmmmmmm.......Italy comes to mind, Italy runs out and ADIOS!

I would like to see Senegal in the final, no matter who they
play against. I'd rather have it with South Korea, or Spain.

Hey Willy, I wanted to ask you for a long time: What happened to the Irish? Did they forget to put their clovers in their trowsers? Shame, I really liked the team. So much for good luck with the clover, I wanted to try it to see if it brings me good luck with the ladies too! :)

Raul is doubtful for the game so i say. Spain 1 South Korea 2 / Senegal 2 Turkey 1 / USA 2 Germany 1 and Brazil 2 England 0.
Mind you i would not put my money where my mouth is on any of these games. That is the beauty of it and why this is the best game and WC ever.

"Michael is okay," Eriksson said. "He's had some small
problems with his groin but he has worked very hard and has
had a lot of treatment and massaging"

Is Michael Owen a hobbiest? Does having a Swedish coach provide a secret advantage to the England team? What does Posh Spice think?:D

"So it is fascinating that Brazil will now meet a team who are
among the strongest in the air. Beckham crosses the ball even
better than Francisco Arce, the Paraguayan who plays his club
football in Brazil. The English have great headers of the ball.
If Brazil is eliminated by a headed cross, the coach will be sipping his own poison."

Quote in today's UK Guardian from Tostao.

Tostao was one of the key players in Brazil's 1970 World
Cup-winning team. He is now Brazil's most influential columnist,
writing in the Folha de Sao Paulo. The Brazilian's are confident but not over confident. England equally so.

This is going to be the match of the tournament.

"As soon as the introductory formalities were over, including the
Brazilian national anthem, symphonic in length if not in form,
and as soon as the teams had broken apart from a loosener,
one surveyed the mighty limbs, the sinuous movements, and the
exuberant gestures of the Brazilians. Their divergence from the
English type was obvious; their bodies have a quite rubbery
flexibility, their feet an extraordinary sensitivity of touch and they
showed a marked fondness and skill in practice in imparting
curious spins to the ball: but as soon as it came to battle
stations one felt sorry for them. In three short minutes they were
blown to smithereens by one of the most devastating opening
attacks England has ever staged."

Guardian report on England's 4-2 victory over Brazil at Wembley in 1956. Let history repeat itself. PLEASE.

Brazil - This could be the best match of all!
Turkey - "Mmmmmm....Turkey" Homer J. Simpson
USA - If they get out to a quick start similar to the Portugal game
Spain - The glass slipper falls off of the Korean foot

I would really like to see the US get into the final - It would be a big boost to soccer over here in North America.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph give me strength. You're predicting a win for the "Great Satan" (USA). :p

Irish Kickoff!

Well Vatoloco, in true Irish tradition, someone must have said, "See that goal down there? Don't go that way!"

They did indeed stuff the four leafed ones in their jocks!
Problem is they were supposed to dangle them from their dingles!!

It's England now! God Save The Queen!!!
