If you listen to it from a certain perspective, you can hear a lot of reggae influence.
im butting in.....but perhaps the phrase"" arguably the greatest rock song ever written" would be better no?...if you asked 50 people about the greatest rock song, you may get 50 different answers

I try and not listen to this song anymore but i had an ex who would play this song on his guitar often for me. Anyway he died a few years ago after his heart gave out on him.
Absolutely agree with you. With all the music I have listened to, bought, recorded for over 60 years, I tried to think which rock song was the greatest ever. I can only think of about 50.
