Customization is not something McDonald is well known for. You can't expect them to give you a filet-of-fish with no cheese when they are not trained to do this. As well, consider the age of the employees. Most of them are kids and will be leaving the job in a year or so.

.
I've had not problems with special orders... again, don't go through the drive through.

Going through the drive through is a bit like wearing a swastica T-shirt and a hitler mustashe while walking in front of a Krav Magra place in the most jewish part of town, or wearing a I hate niggers sign while in Harlem, you are going to get fucked over, and you are asking for it.

Why would you willingly eat at McDonalds? I can understand if you're starving and there's nothing else available that it's better than continuing to starve... but that's about it.

Cause one mind find it enjoyable? I don't eat there often, but I have no shame in admitting that I like the taste. Quite simple really.

try burger king, it fucks ronald in his clowny mouth. grabs him by his clowny ears and fucks his clowny face.

I

Intrigued

I couldn't tell you..... Me personally I get the odd craving for it and regret it right after I eat it!
I'm in the same boat as well but I crave KFC. I feel terrible and guilty for eating it.

On the side note, does anyone get hungry or gets a craving for some "junk food" when there about to watch there favorite show.

Exactly! With so many great burger joints all over the city open to all hours that actually serve meat, why would anyone willingly put garbage - and it is garbage - into their bodies?!

How is it different from other fast food joints?

Exactly!! Fast food is bad enough and we all know it. No one who is past their teens can claim ignorance to fast food and their lack of quality and health value.

McD's leads the way in bullshit consumption because you can't even call it food.

Next time you go to a McD's, try this for fun.
Give your order clearly and precisely and be sure to specify if it's to eat in or to take out.
Then see how many things you said that they ask you about. they are so stuck in spewing out the scripted gibberish they are told to say, they barely listen to what the customer says.
When I'm asked a question about something I clearly stated when I placed my order, if the server's attitude is less than friendly, I will tell them that I already told them that and they should have been listening. You should see the confused looks that generates!
And by the way, I find Timmies' people even worse in their ability to listen, especially about whether the order is to eat in or take out.
That's my rant on this topic.

I find that most fast food resturants it all depends on who's working. The McDonalds in Arnpiror they regularly ask cars in the drive through line to park inthe lot and they will deliver the food....WTF.......if I want to park I would have......If I wanted to got to a Drive-In I would have. Just put my food in the the bag and hand it to me, sounds simple. What really get's me is when the person drops off my food before the person behind me get their's ......ok......did that make sence!

The Filipino kids at the 24hr Micky D's by me are very good. Good manners and fast service. I only visit twice per year which usually ends up as a colon cleanse.Kill 2 birds with one stone I guess.

Cheese(being milk based) on Fish would not be Kosher so I imagine they should be open to the no cheese request.

You got to understand though there are no IQ requirements for minimum wage jobs.

Best service at a McDonalds was in Buffalo. I don't know if that Asian kid memorized the whole thing or whether he was reading off cue cards or a screen or something but the elaborate speech was impressive.

really this isn't about McD. it's about who works for min wage. i.e.: class struggle. i don't try to embarrass the cashier. i have tried to figure out what script they follow and feed them the info in the order they need to button it in. and i give them lots of pauses. face it: except for the retired older mothers, most kids are working there cause no-one else will hire them. some are recent immigrants. don't expect much.

Why not?

You could pay them 20.00 an hour and the service would still be shit.

BTW, one of the best Engineers I know worked from age 15 to age 22 at McDonalds. He has a work ethic. You generally don't survive as a High School employee working at McDoe's if you''re a lazy ass.

McDonald's is one of the (I believe THE) largest purchaser of beef in North America. I am not aware of any contracts they have with dump sites as suppliers.
Please don't be overly dramatic. It's not high grade beef, but it IS beef and it's not garbage. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it unfit to eat.

Again I have to agree with Kirk. Back in the day when I worked at McDs it was actually a good thing for the future because they made you work! It was actually not easy to get a job and very desireable. When I moved on later in life my years working at McDs (all through high school) were a big asset on my resume. The HR people where I got my first full time job even told me so!

Although I would certainly agree that the quality of staff has gone way, way down hill from when I worked there.

How does that make it not garbage? It's what they do to it that ruins it i'm sure, but by the time they are done with it, it's surely garbage.

Look up the definition of garbage. It may not be the highest quality meat, but it's surely not garbage. Not meeting your high standards may make it lower quality than the top cuts of meat you must be eating everyday but it's not garbage. It's simply a lower grade of product with a price to reflect that.

McDonalds is unhealthy because of all the food additives and high amounts of sugar and sodium in their food.

Their buns...loaded with sugar's evil cousin High Fructose Corn Syrup (easily one of the worst things you can consume). Their salads? Okay, the lettuce itself isn't bad, but you might want to check out that dressing ingredients label. Lots of sugar, sodium, and other crap your body doesn't need or want.

Real food is perishable. With time, it begins to decay. It’s a natural process, it just happens. Beef will rot, bread will mold. But what about a McDonald’s burger? Karen Hanrahan (journalist) saved a McDonald’s burger from 1996 and, oddly enough, it looks just as “appetizing” and “fresh” as a burger you might buy today. Is this real food?

McDonald’s supports the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Much of the soy-based animal feed used to fatten fast-food chickens is grown in the Amazon. Are those chicken nuggets really worth acres of irreplaceable trees? (Especially considering how important carbon sinks like the rainforest are to halt global warming!) Fast food supports a completely unsustainable system of agriculture. It’s cruel to animals, unhealthy for humans, and bad for the planet.

For those who enjoy sex, take note: erectile dysfunction is connected to endothelial dysfunction. Morgan Spurlock of Super Size Me commented that his normally healthy sexual function deteriorated in just one month when he ate only food from McDonald’s. Even his girlfriend commented on camera that “he’s having a hard time, you know, getting it up.”

Nutritionally, the food is devoid of anything healthy or nutritious. Honestly, it is one of the worst possible choices you can make. It is only slightly (and I mean slightly) better than starving.
