A friend of mine is applying for an associate position as Chiropractor/Naturopathic Doctor.

What are some things he should know to better prepare for the interview? I'm not very familiar with industry practice.

On his clients - does he pay a percentage of the shared expenses

On his partner's clients - does he get the percetage of the billings

What modalities should he expect to do

Any other things like

Non-comp clauses

Any other business related things?

thanks

Just messin with ya

You friend should discuss all of the formalities and get everything in writing. That will save alot of grief down the road. Included should be a clause on parting ways

make sure the non-compete clause is not too broad - both time wise and geographically

there should be clause that the clients your friend brings in - he will take them when he decides to leave

as for the money - it all depends if he is going to pay rent - but usually a 50-50 split on the fees for his clients - if he doesn't have to pay rent

usually a smaller percentage when its the owner's clients.
