You really don't want to know
Still nowhere close to the Bugatti Veyron.

Top Speed 407.5 Km/Hr
0 to 60Km/hr in 2.46 seconds
0 to 200Km/hr in 7.4 seconds
0 to 300km/hr in 18.2 seconds

Standing Quarter-Mile - 10.2 sec @ 143 mph / 230 km/h

http://youtube.com/watch?v=wfFAZ5-P04I

Having had the privledge of being close to one and have to do the logisitics to see if it could be raced on the streets of Toronto makes one very humble in any other car.

Master C, thanks for saving me the time of looking up the specs on the veyron.....I knew it was faster than that viper but didn't know the details.

You were actually near one? Fuck me...it is THE machine....I like the glass engine cover as the dude from Top Gear says: Hey, something that beautiful, you want to show it off!

I wonder who will break the 252 mph record held by the Bugatti? It takes a hell of a lot of engineering to reach that speed......

I also liked the comment by the top gear dude: At top speed the tires only last about 15 minutes....which is ok because a full tank of fuel only lasts 10 lol

LOL see? And we were wondering what to do with that spare $1.8 Million lol

BTW: I could watch that video over and over and over and over....He hit 253.395 MPH......and can you IMAGINE cornering at 120 MPH?????

Thanks,

The Veyron is a work of art, just a stunning masterpiece, and I'm no car guy.
It's creepy just being near it.

Now take those specs and imagine this sceneario. We were asked about the feasability of having the Veyron do a high speed race through the city streets of Toronto at an average 1/2 speed but with possible maximum peaks of 3/4 to at least attempting top speed.

That would be awesome but the logistics are a nightmare...and what road/highway or ? is straight enough of flat enough? I mean, it would be cool to watch something like that go down the DVP (and I can't understand why they haven't made a race that incorporates at least a portion of the DVP)....I mean hell, they close it for bike a thons, walk a thons, everything anyways so....

Well, do i start. We're not talking expressways but municipal roads. It would have travelled on University Avenue Adelaide St , Richmond Street and Yonge Street.

The logistics would have been a nightmare, but totally doable. There were issues with not only noise but of the structural integrity of the roads, that and they wanted to do it during the daytime (most likely over the course of several weekends). But alas it never happened.

Hell I've been involved with nuttier things than that.

Yup, that was pretty fun to be there for, except for all the yelling from Renny Harlin. This would have blown that away.

Half a million maybe...
Hmmm don't know exactly what you mean but the Veyron goes for a cool $1.8 million Cdn.

I found another clip of the Veyron doing a run 0 - 150 and as fast as the top end is (most top end fast cars are slow out of the hole) this thing took off like a bullet from a 9 mm.....I know my 600R ninja did 0 - 60 mph in about 3.7 but the veyron looked faster than that.
