Someone told me the core of the vaccine is the same and then they add something for the variant.

Dr. Joseph Ladapo told Fox News Digital he would not recommend the vaccine ‘to any living being on this planet’

The new COVID-19 vaccine is now available at participating pharmacies and health care providers, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends it for everyone 6 months of age and older — yet not all health experts are on board.

Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida’s surgeon general, spoke on camera to Fox News Digital about his concerns surrounding the updated COVID shot.

"It's just a really terrible idea," Ladapo said. "And it's remarkable and really spellbinding that [the CDC] would make that kind of recommendation in the absence of evidence."

y "evidence," Ladapo is referring to clinical trials, which were not conducted for the new vaccine.

"The FDA and CDC could have compelled Pfizer or Moderna to conduct clinical trials — that's something that's totally doable — and they didn't do it," he noted.

That guy was a joke in the medical community but willing to parrot whatever DeSantis asked him to.

Someone is effectively correct. Same delivery mechanism, same basic functionality. All that is changed is the exact folding structure of the spike protein.

Are you going to get a booster this time? I asked my doctor and she doesn't know what to tell me, before she did recommend it. Now she's not sure.

Most docs are recommending it for folks over 65 and for folks with underlying conditions.

Plan to. Covid ripped though my work a while back and I was the only one who caught it that wasn't laid up for a several days. Same reason I get the flu shot.

I'm getting the shot. Got Covid Feb 2020 before any vaccine was out. Hospitalized intensive care for 4 weeks. Thought I wasn't going to make it. Another 4 weeks out of intensive care in hospital, then home care (because they needed the bed) on oxygen for 6 months.

I don't know the science but if it helps lower the chance of getting it again or lessen the severity of what I went thru, I'm going to take it.

Wow, that's quite a story. Curious to know if you're over 70, and if/how many "comorbidities"?
I know that original strain was ruff.
A friend down in the usa had a similar experience with the OG strain...and he's only mid 50's and healthy.

Was 57 at the time. Good health. Was on TERB for about 10 years. Just rediscovering it again after 3+ years away.

I respect your decision it seems based on solid personal experience.

Wish you continued good health going forward.

Thankfully the rest of us don't need to be hospitalized for months to understand that vaccines help and have extremely low risk. If I was 22 and had no family at risk then I may not have gotten the boosters but having seen what covid (or for that matter the flu) has done to otherwise healthy people ....
