My girlfriend and I are planning on opening a massage parlour in Durham. We just want to know where is the best place to open. i.e. least legal hassles, most needed area. Just curious to know what you guys think. Planning on opening by June this year at the latest.

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

we need something good out here in the 'shaw

seems if you put it in the north end you will get hassels from other business'. so try central or even in the industrial area on wilson south of bloor. but whatever you do make sure you try and get tyra to work for you. tyra is a hot young black mpa who use to work at 905 dillingham(pickering) and almond spa(oshawa) and now i don't know where she is. if you get here to work for you, you will have my business at least once a week.

please someone open something decent in the oshawa/whitby area.

I wish you the best of luck. Most MP's in Oshawa close within a year, at least the good ones that is. I would recommend south, maybee off one of those streets that joins Col. Sam. It would probably be more discreet there. Post when it is open. I'll take one for the team. :D

I was leaning heavily towards Oshawa for sure but now I am not certain. Why do all the good ones close within a year? I have a good idea about the girls I want to work there and who would come. All of them I consider friends. Would not want us all to end up in cuffs. I also have a good idea about where I would open and it would be very discreet. (Plus the areas that the city of Oshawa will let you open in ensure that). Hmmm. Maybe I should just plan on being open a year  What about Whitby? Is there less trouble there?

Do Oshawa. There are already plenty in Pickering Ajax and you also start to run competition for Scarborough. Oshawa has no good spots that I know of.
Good Luck.

Oshawa has bylaws about where they can be. I think pretty much limited to certain areas in south oshawa. The city councils opposed to anything adult so I'd be careful.

Suggestions

As mentioned, Oshawa bylaws are very restrictive and ARE enforced.
You should definitely look them up for the location you want.
You might have to try Courtice/Bowmanville or Whitby.
Stick to a discreet industrial area not frequented by soccer moms.
Ads in the local This Week and word of mouth is more than enough for business.
Minimizing your fixed expenses will reduce the cost of relocation if necessary, e.g. the furniture you can move with you but renos can be limited to a clean floor, workable plumbing, and a cheap paint job.
Navigate the prospective spot at several times of the day to see how easy it is to get to and park. One of the problems of Pick Angels is that at evening rush hour, Brock Rd is a traffic jam getting back to the 401. I'm sure this discourages potential customers.
Good Luck

Good Luck
I think that there were only two places in Whitby about five years ago. The town lynch squad (read; Politicians) ran them out of town. The one place I liked was on Dundas and Thickson, 'Holistic Centre' where a Rose (oriental) worked. he was a nice lady..... Oh the memories......

Be wary of Bowmanville as well. There was one MP that lasted about a month before it was closed. Also I believe, though not certain, there are bylaws that don't allow any new SC's or adult video stores to open. Good luck and keep us posted.
