I don't know about you, but I'd find it vaguely unsettling if someone had a green glow coming from between their legs.

dont think that's going to fly.

its extremely objectifying and debasing and reduces women to make them appear to be complete and utter sex objects and sluts..

where only underneath their skirts are worth lighting up...

its basically the equivalent of a girl going around pointing all the guys to underneath her skirt, literally...(with the light glowing underneath there) literally.

like saying, 'come get this"

it might be a 'trend' but i dont think its going to last..

parents see their daughter's wearing that. they'll flip.

There are many trends in Japan that take off there that never see the light of day here.
This is likely another.

Who needs upskirts. Just take a walk around town on a hot day. All these hot young lassies with short shorts and their asses all hanging out...

Even if they choose to wear it because they like it????? Slippery slope alert (tattoos, etc.)

You could argue that make-up, hair, tight dresses - almost anything a girl does to make herself attractive is making her into a sex object and I'm guessing that most of them have that goal in mind.

I guess you will hate my idea of turning the skirt into a multi-coloured mood ring which changes from blue to red as the crotch temperature heats up.

I foresee a problem with moths.
This could be a problem. I know a guy who had a moth, attracted by a porch light, bury itself in his ear. He had to go to the hospital to get it removed. The mind boggles at the possible problems caused by moths attracted to these skirts.

Ethics aside, and as a happy Open Source (Well, Copyleft) geek-- "Open Hardware". So the light was made by a guy that is the least likely to see what it illuminates? :p

Women in Tech, and women in Open Source has been a big problem (Sexual harassment, white knights, excessively lewd humour, and things being a boys club), that is just starting to get a little better now. I don't think crutch lights will help.
