Which Major League Baseball pitcher, (post 1969), had a Won or Lost decision in 38 of his 39 starts in one season?

Bob Welch OAK
Nope.

Welch never had more than 36 starts in a season. In 1990, he had decisions in 33/35, (27-6 W-L record), his highest career percentage.

Which two current members of the Toronto Blue Jays have a Stolen Base success rate of 84%* or more in their career, (minimum 100 attempts)?

*They rank in the top 25 all time for Stolen Base %.
Andres Gimenez is definitely one.
I'm guessing the other is Myles Straw

Who was the last Major League Baseball pitcher to have 15 or more Complete Games in a season?

Roger Clemens
Nope.

Clemens had a career-high 18 Complete Games in 1987. Someone else had 15, more than 10 seasons later.

Hint: If Roger Clemens is ever inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, his bust will likely have a Red Sox cap. The correct answer guy played for the Red Sox, literally and figuratively, as well as several other teams during his career which spanned over three different decades.

My man Curt Schilling of course. Ugh.

A Toronto Blue Jays' player has never been the League leader in Stolen Bases at the end of a season. There are, however, four former Toronto Blue Jays who led the National of American League in steals prior to playing for the Blue Jays, and one who accomplished this feat after playing for Toronto.

Name as many as you can.

K Douglas correctly identified Rickey Henderson, Whit Merrifield and Jose Reyes.

One to go.

One Stump.

Three correct!

Henderson led the American League in steals 12 times, (1980-86, 1988-91 and 1998). Merrifield led the AL in 2017, 2018 and 2021. Reyes led the National League in 2005-07.

Collins stole a career-high 79 bases for the 1980 Cincinnati Reds, but the Expos' Ron LeFlore had 97 that year.

In November, 1985, Oakland A's GM Sandy Aldorson traded Collins to the Detroit Tigers for Barbero Garbey, who was released in the middle of spring training in 1986. When asked about the move, Alderson said "We had to take something to get rid of Collins".

What was historical about the game played between the New York Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks on November 8, 1972?

See post #6053 for the answer.
