GEORGETOWN, Del. — A former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader charged with raping a teenage boy and providing other minors with alcohol is set for a court hearing Wednesday.

Molly Shattuck is scheduled for a case review in Georgetown, Delaware.

The 47-year-old Shattuck was indicted in November on charges of third-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact and providing alcohol to minors. She has pleaded not guilty.

The charges stem from an illicit sexual relationship Shattuck allegedly forged with one of her children's 15-year-old classmates. The boy told police that Shattuck began an inappropriate relationship with him near Baltimore and that it culminated with sexual activity at a vacation rental home in Bethany Beach over Labor Day weekend.

Shattuck is the ex-wife of Mayo Shattuck, a prominent Maryland energy executive.

It probably is in reference to the statutory rape in which the minor's consent or willingness is a moot point. There are cases in which the male teen victim still wants to continue the relationship. There was a teacher who even when released from jail continued the relationship, got pregnant, sent back to jail and I believe they got married when she was released and he became a legal adult.

I am guessing this too. I am also guessing that the 15 year happily gave his (legally ineffective) consent without much prompting. She's still fairly hot.

You don't really need to force an erection for it to occur. Under the right circumstance, it's not difficult for a 15-yr old to have an erection. The sight of an attractive woman in a skimpy bikini, a half or fully-exposed breast or other body part can easily do it.

I agree that the title is misleading. Obviously at 45, she's not a cheerleader any more.

Most people know my feelings here. Categorizing a 15 year male teen as a a 'child' is similar to suggesting a shark is simply a large guppy. I was a 15 year old male teen and speak from first hand experience. As for the double standard - you set them by acknowledging (and I take your word as I was not a 15 year girl) that 15 year old girls are sexually immature and susceptible to long term emotional scarring with sexual affairs involving adults. That is fine but don't drag 15 year old males to the same frail emotional levels just based on a motivation to apply one standard to two different profiles.

After receiving oral sex the boy declined an invitation to full sex and the woman did not push further so it might be the reason she is charged with third degree assault.

I'm with some of the others here - my life would have been a lot less screwed up if I had the benefit of a similar opportunity if I was this teen.

I remember being in 7th grade and when some guys had to do projects in front of the class they popped a boner and that sure as hell wasn't sexual. Us girls sure did giggle though :)
