Read and be educated. The Florida Seminole tribe is a small part of the Seminoles, the majority of whom live in Oklahoma. And the majority are opposed to the use of the name Seminoles by FSU. Moreover, approval by the Florida Seminoles is not for altruistic reasons. It is tied into promotion of their huge casino/gambling operation, which benefits just a few members
Money talks, this is true.
But they still have no issues with it in Florida.

Defending NFL Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa of the 49ers has been holding out of training camp while his representation negotiates what is anticipated to be a record-breaking contract extension.
Negotiations have reportedly been amicable but there is a growing urgency to get a deal done and get Bosa with the team ahead of Week 1.

And there's a similar situation that's been brewing in Kansas City, where defensive tackle Chris Jones also has been holding out of camp, and recently hinted on social media that he's willing to miss games up until Week 8 this season, which would cost him about $1.1 million per paycheck, because he "can afford it."

Bengals QB Joe Burrow will definitely start the season. But is he 100% healthy? No one knows.
As a Lions fan, I hope Chris Jones continues to hold out for at least wk.1 vs the Lions. ;)

The Cardinals cut QB Colt McCoy and are going with Joshua Dobbs as starter. McCoy is an experienced back-up and was projected the starter all year long. Like I said before, it seems the Cards are tanking for the draft and might let Kyler Murray go or try and trade him.

Tomorrow(Tues) is final cutdown day, every year some well known names get cut and some get picked-up by other teams. While it's NFL for some, (Not For Long) their careers are so short.

A little surprised the Colts haven't made a deal with Jonathan Taylor, he is a top 5 RB in the league. The best thing for a young QB is a good running game, and JT is one of the best and in his prime.

Taylor requested a trade and Dolphins are very interested, but the Colts wanted Jalen Waddle from the Dolphins. So it seems the Colts really aren't serious about trading him and they don't want to pay him.

JT is victim of today's NFL devaluation of RB's and a petty owner.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp is in Minnesota today visiting with a noted body specialist to further understand his hamstring issue. With two pulls in one summer, the hope is to fully comprehend the root of the issue. Coach Sean McVay has described him as “day-to-day.” The Rams will be an after thought in the NFC West

SF 49ers and DT Nick Bosa have reached an agreement with $122.5 million in guaranteed money over 5 years. That makes him easily the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.
With that and CMC running rough shod on offense, the 49ers are going back to the NFC Championship game where they will meet the Eagles again.

Not so fast, for sure the Eagles and 49ers are two of the tops teams in the NFC, but it's so hard to repeat in the NFL. I am predicting that the Dallas Cowboys finally reach the NFC Championship game, but lose to either the Eagles or 49ers.

Mr. Interception Das Prescott is a major liability. Which is why the Cowboys have stagnated and may not even make the playoffs let alone go to the CC

He made the Bengals a respectable winner and serious contender. He should be able to bring peace to the Middle East and cure cancer.
(P.S. the Bengals have been my team since 1978).

I don't follow the NFL closely but I thought I heard Mahone(sp) signed for $500mm.
Yes. He signed for 10 years $450 million averaging $45 million/yr.

Burrows averages $55 million/yr.
Guess it depends how you look at it.

A question for the NFL experts. Are the $275mm and $450 guaranteed money? What happens if they get injured and have to quit before the expiry of the contract?

Earlier today I heard not all of Burrow's money is guaranteed. "Only" $219 million is guaranteed.

Almost all NFL contracts are not "fully" guaranteed, only the signing bonus is fully guaranteed. The lone except is the DeShaun Watson, the Browns were desperate enough to give him a fully guaranteed contract.

You might be right, but I see the Cowboys having too much talent to miss the playoffs in the weaker NFC.
