Network comedy shows being cancelled because comedians insult the President?

What a thin skinned, pathetic weakling.
He was never funny, no talent, a lot of people won't miss him either.
I remember how he quietly pulled the plug on his own show to avoid criticism for his black face skit. I think it was timely with the BLM George Floyd riots when he "pulled out". I'm too lazy to look up the the timeline right now.
But yeah, he's trash.

Says you. *I* think he's funny and talented. And until the Crybaby in Chief got him taken off the air, the ratings and network kept him on the air for 22 years. At $15 million a year. Plus he takes the whole summer off. Not bad for someone with "no talent".

Sure, like 275 million people won't miss him. Most ppl don't stay up to watch late night tv, and then there are other shows that the late night tv watchers watch instead. Colbert is going too because of Trump.

But the BIG point is that the PResident of the United States is having comedians fired for making fun of him.

Losing Colbert was a bigger deal.
I look at it strategically. Colbert now has 10 months of free run to publicly scrutinize Trump.

I think Colbert is extremely talented and he and his team write really good jokes, but his delivery does not resonate with me. His Bil O'Reilly send up was dead nuts oon but I viscerally dislike O'Reilly so I couldn't even watch the Colbear Reporrrr.

Comedians come and go. Time to make room for new comics.

But the HUGE problem is the fact that these are clear violations of the 1st Amendment right to free speech that the government itself is infringing on for purely personal vindictive reasons of the President himself. This is the start of an authoritarian state. Even moreso than already exists in the land of Freedumb.

Damn right it is. The Chair of the FCC directly called out for their 200 local affiliate TV stations to pre-empt the show over Kimmel's political comments. And those affiliates of Nexstar did so immediately.

Nextstar is trying to buy 65 MORE local TV affiliates and needs FCC's approval to do so. Because there are anti-monopoly laws that need to be overruled to complete the $6.5 billion deal. Lot's of mouths can be fed from that transaction. And further concentration of "fake news" networks and all the good that will come from that! 😂

When is the making America great going to start?

Getting rid of some token darkies is petering out, school shootings are a weekly occurence and are not even mentioned by Trump... justhis $200 million White House Ballrom. A fucking Ballroom? For $200 million? FFS, even the Woodbridge mafioso couldn't wash more than $20 million in another banquet hall in Vaughan.

For me his delivery wasn't good. I'd take Colbert over him and watched him a lot, Colbert is intelligent, Kimmel not so much with that smug look on his face.
I looked it up and Kimmel did pull out and apologized around the time the BLM protests and George Floyd riots were going on, douchebag.

Agreed, Colbert was sharper, funnier and more on point.
Kimmel more of an entertainer.

I love pistachio gelato.

Mushrooms sound delicious but the smell and texture makes me gag. But I've been known to find the magic in some varieties so don't write them ALL off😵

I loved Stephen Wright, others abhor him. Same with Craig Ferguson. One of the fucking funniest, most earnest talk show hosts ever. My gf thought both of them were weirdos.

Vive la difference! It's what makes life so beautiful.

For me. Glad to see him finally kicked to the curb. Unfunniest most embarrasing goof on TV.
I bet he said the same about your Netflix show and my secret career as a hooker expert commentator on an underground secret society.

I'm working on a reference manual for the US medical insurance industry.

I'm done. One word, "NO". Thinnest book in the world. Just waiting for my editor to clean it up and then I'll sell each company thousands for each employee !

Rich, I tell ya, I'm gonna be rich! All the carrots I can eat!
