Arnel Pineda is better than Steve Perry.
It's a great movie for anyone who hasn't seen it….. will see him with Journey this summer!

As someone who grew up in the 90s I'm sorry man, I have to disagree. I liked Nirvana a lot but Kurt Cobain spawned a generation of guys staring at their sneakers onstage (hell, Eddie Vedder moved around more than him and that should tell you something). He did NOT have a presence. Creative songwriter for sure and a distinct voice, which can often trump pure vocal talent, but he is not in the pantheon of legendary frontmen.
+1
Kitts only claim to fame was that he killed himself at the right time for his career. Pearl jam, Soundgarden and many more bands were already burying Nirvana. They were fading fast as a band and would have broken up soon enough.

+ One. I was surprised to hear anyone who has seen recorded performances of Queen even think of Cobain. Maybe we should reconsider Gordon Lightfoot.

I had Queen albums before I heard the band and with the special effects of the recordings - I wondered if they would be that good on stage compared to the studio. When I saw Queen performing, they had my adrenaline pumping like crazy and I was watching on the TV ! I have never seen a front man that had the voice range, the stage presence and the ability to whip up the audience to such a high pitch. Jagger and Springsteen are no slouches with live shows but that voice, the moves .... all IMO of course.

Without a doubt....Freddie Mercury.

Arguably, Bono.

Freddie had the vocal range and power that Bono never had, but Bono has this religious ferver to his performances that Freddie never had.

Both are head and shoulders above the rest.

But greatest concert I have ever seen would probably go to Roger Waters - "The Wall". (Go figure.)

Robert Plant in his hey day but he was upstaged by Jimmy Page or better yet, John Henry Bonham many times. They were a band. With Queen, Freddie Mercury was a unique and incomparable stage presence that dominated. I still think Brian May is a great guitarist too.

IMHO, I'd take Daltrey and Brad Delp.

I've been really missing Brad Delp these last few days. My iPod keeps picking Boston tracks, and the band that was my first "Favorite Band of All" has had the music ruined by his suicide for me.

Thank you. It is downright criminal imo to not have these two mentioned in the first page, especially MJ. He was perfection on stage.

My ex-wife dragged me to that concert under protest, I was blow away by how talented he was - we had fantastic seats, he was incredible, a pedophile, but an incredible talent.

Brad Delp had a great voice but no showmanship. He's one of those faceless singers who wouldn't be recognized on the street. He wasn't even leader of the band.
Mention "Boston" and the average rock fan wouldn't know the name of anyone in the band. They might be able to name one or two of their hits.

I've seen Tull live and I was so impressed with his ability to play the flute while performing a stage show like that ... the man is amazingly energetic and talented... and he's gettin up there too!
