Every leader that has willingly given up their nuclear weapons under pressure from the USA has been attacked, regime destroyed and leaders killed. Now Iran is under pressure and this is why they only agreed to suspend their program and not completely destroy it. It also only did so with major guarantees from the Russians, who are much more dependable then the US. The problem is, US policies change dramatically from leader to leader. One of the downfalls of democracy. So a deal with the USA is not really worth more then 4-5 years max. After seeing what was done to Saddam and Ghadaffi, Kim John Un would be suicidal to give up his nukes. They are not a bargaining chip. The only thing they may agree to is assistance and auditing from China and Russia to ensure proper command and control is established over their nuclear weapons.
