There are going to be many more of these cases popping up as women decide they were abused from bad behaviour 45-50 years ago. We've probably heard some horror stories about rock bands going around banging anything that moves. Led Zeppelin apparently had a chart with the age of consent for the various states brought on tour. Jimmy Page had sex with a 14 year old when he was in his late 20s early 30s. Now, I don't know how this was viewed back then, but if you tried this shit today you'd get a statutory rape charge right quick.
Were these girls coerced into sex? Probably. But remember, these guys were rock stars and movie stars. They had money and fame, and the girl would be thrilled to be invited to their hotel room, being in the same orbit of these superstars. They may or may not have thought the dudes would want sex, nor that they would probably be given a shit load of booze and other drugs...
Bottomline: This won't be the last we hear of these historic rape cases hitting elderly celebrities...

Here is my beef. I have had many girlfriends but never been married. Unfortunately, despite being forthcoming when we've had 'the talk' about where we go from here a few weeks/months into the relationship, some may feel scorned and hold a grudge.
How many of these women will come up with false allegations seeking retribution?
There is one lady in particular who I am very fearful of. I did not realize that she was a devout Roman Catholic and was stunned that she was a virgin at 30 years old. I took her virginity and the sex was pretty unbelievable, very frequent, and literally everywhere after our first jaunt. It was the one thing that kept luring me back in before I mustered enough self-discipline to be honest that I had done some soul-searching and established that there wasn't much in terms of compatibility long term. I very candidly told her that we were simply too different apart from both of us sharing an insatiable desire for sex.
Let's just say that this particular gal had a quasi-breakdown after I broke up with her. Her mom actually phoned my parents. Despite my parents never having met her parents, her mom alleged that I ruined her daughter's life and gave her expectations of a long-term commitment. Moreover, her mom told my parents that I pressured their daughter into having sex and took her virginity by misleading her.
In any event, it was the most bizarre of experiences post-breakup but this one gal in particular always has me worried. Though everything was consensual she may now use the current climate to seek revenge.
Why. If he did that it’s pretty sick. And the US is mostly reasonable for evidence based trials.
The 14 had turned Jimmy down on several occasions… and he had the band manager literally pull up in van beside her on the street and had her delivered to his hotel room.

Why would Beatty be living in a hotel in LA where he lives. I would gather he had a home in the area.

Honestly, I have zero sympathy for these alleged victims of alleged assaults that might have occurred 40+ years ago. This is, plain and simple, a nuisance suit where the plaintiff has zero percent chance of winning the case, zero percent chance of being successfully countersued for slander, and 100% chance of obtaining sympathy and revenge in the Court of Twitter.

Well. At one time, it was the Stars, the Studio’s and Publicists who had control of media narrative. Now they don’t.
I am reserving judgment on specific cases, as how the fuck would I know what happened, or how it affected anyone.
However, I have zero sympathy for rich pricks who used their stardom and wealth to rape teens. The Roman Polanski’s of the world.
