One of the communication difficulties is that we read/interpret things differently according to the perceived sex of the source.
Originally I read the "latent hostility" post as having a female source - i.e. you were attempting to pass advice from the female perspective and I was attempting to disagree with the interpretation.
Now, I take the source to be male and am surprised.
Would "enthusiastic efstar" be a better phrase for you ?

Why I'm on TERB

I've had self-confidence problems all my life, which is probably why (well, that, and probably having been a real a**hole to women in previous lives) I only had one date in high school and nothing again until 27. I'm 41 now, never married and had only one girlfriend (1990-1995). I feel like I've seriously missed out in life. I'm attracted to younger women, I think partly because I feel I missed out on dating them when I was younger. With my self-confidence still wavering, I figure my only hope to fulfill these desires is with SPs. But I've still to take the plunge, so I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I believe that this inner confidence is a result of seeing some very special SP's over the past year or so who help me find IT.

Getting in good shape physically has also help.

I completely agree, one particular SP I've developed a good friendship with is 23 [Michelle] has been rather good for my self confidence etc and its all good. She [like a number of people] noticed that as I lost weight, and got into better shape physically, i got a whole lot happier and healthier.

so even tho sometimes one gets dissed by younger [perhaps less grown up girls] there are those instances where two people meet and are good for eachother in a number of ways.
