My Dad was a Dr. and made it known to my sisters and I he had a "reputation" to maintain in the community. Hence, we were expected to toe the line. Of course, in his 50's he took off with a 24 year old, and thereby fucked his OWN reputation. I wonder if he ever saw the irony?

LOL. It's definitely Eurotrash... I guess the modern equivalent would be James Blunt "You're Beautiful"...

The thing with "Where do you go to my lovely" is that it's SO DAMNED ADDICTIVE. My Mom had the 45 and listened to it all the time. I played the video for my sister a few months ago and she just about DIED laughing. She too hadn't heard the song for almost 40 years.

As for my vinyl collection, unfortunately that's long gone. When my wife and I split up, she put my records in the garage and they were ruined by water damage. I still have my original STAR WARS sheets from the 70's however:eek:

I have an immense amount of respect for any guy in his 50's who takes off with a 24 year old. Just one question: did the nubile in question look like Winona Ryder or Ethan Hawke?

Only three (3) links on this list are "one hit wonders". The others had many hits. Especially Talk Talk, Dead or Alive and A Flock of Seagulls.

Sadly, I'd add Aqua to your list. While their success was (mercifully) short-lived, it definitely spanned more than one hit...
